Fox News TV Report Quashes Rumors of Texas Phish Fest
As many of our readers have likely have heard by now, some enterprising folks tracked down the location of the farm that appears via Google Earth in the Phish Summer Tour video now featured on the group\'s website. Rumors began to swirl about a potential summer festival at the central Texas locale, no matter how unlikely this proposed event seems, in term of infrastructure and area fan base. Still some folks took sufficient stock in the story to place phone calls to local officials as well as the farmer who owns the land. Over the weekend, a news report on Fox Affiliate KTBC, interviews John Fagot, who owns the farm and explains that his daughter created the video but that his relationship with Phish extends no further, with no festival on the horizon.
John Fagot: what a terrible name.
I don\'t buy it - add Fox News to it and I really don\'t buy it...
Nah. I have no use for bulk shipments of spandex bicycle shorts.
Found: Pic of Zappa\'s reaction to receiving Phish tickets in the mail:
If you\'re currently shut out of a second leg show that isn\'t Red Rocks, wait and you\'ll be fine. After first leg is over, the ticket hostage-takers will start to realize that their SPAC lawns and eventually Hartford lawns are worthless as trade bait and they\'ll flip them for face. Other tix will come down too. Hartford lawns will be at or just barely above face the week of the show. SPAC lawns won\'t be worth their face value.
Spacey, nice work on the bus! Bus trips are some old school Breakfast
**** if there ever was any! Unfortunately I\'ll be busting down to Hartford straight from work in MA so I can\'t get on the bus, but if the geography were right I\'d be on there in a second. Get on the bus people!
definatley like the bus idea. for 55-60 bucks that alone is worth it for me not to drive before and especally after a phish show. goin with 30 friends is also a fun idea.

i think its hilarous that the only thing you thought was important in that article is that the dudes name is john fagot. i probably would have pointed out the same thing though...

But lawn seats now cost what reserved seats had cost and reserved seats now cost what the shitty seats for a rolling stone\'s tour would be...
I don\'t know about that... maybe for some. I paid face for my reserved. I wouldn\'t pay more than that, that\'s true. But i also wouldn\'t pay a single cent to see the rolling stones...(at least the stones of today..maybe back in the day if i ever get around to building that time machine)

Okay, it looks like they\'re charging the same price for reserved as they are for lawn. But $50 plus fees to sit on the lawn with 5-10K other people isn\'t my idea of fun "anymore".
As for the RS, I wouldn\'t pay a penny to see them now or then. Mick Jagger = most overated vocalist since Milli Vanilli. :duck:
if this happens, i\'ll be there partyin there with papelbon

Phish To Play Fenway right after DMB
Posted by Jake Vigliotti in Tour News at 11:03pm on Monday, Mar 30th, 2009
Fenway seems to be the place for concerts this year. After the Dave Matthews Band plays two nights at the famed Boston baseball stadium, antsmarching.org has learned that Phish will perform right after those shows, May 31, according to a source familiar with the scheduling at Fenway. Expect an official announcement as soon as March 31.
If it ain\'t from Phish.com it is a rumor and nothing more.
I have heard so many different stories on this that I don\'t know what to believe.
Everyone I know knows someone who knows someone in the front office who has confirmed this.
I know someone who knows someone in the front office that denies this in the front office.
