post #1918...bad mojo for getting those tix

OMG!  LMFAO!  Post #1918 guarantees 8 tix at Fenway.  Ouch!! Talk about bad karma.  I\'ll be watching closely for post 2004!

Ticket Market Guru Breaks Down Phenway![/B]

Fenway concert capacity is about the same as a game, maybe a smidge more; 37-40K.  They add a ton of seats in the outfield, but they close about the same number in the bleachers and RF grandstand.

The fact that 40K is double the capacity of anything on Summer Tour makes no difference.  40K is still nowhere near demand.  In MA, a venue would have to seat 125,000 people in order for Phish to not be an instant sellout.  Prepare for you and your crew to be shut out  like you were facing Josh Beckett.

Look for the scene to continue to self destruct as people all over the country put in for Fenway tickets that they have no intention of using.  4 out of 5 phans trying for tickets will have no intention of going.  We\'re not even factoring in scalpers, this is phans taking tickets from phans by going for trade bait.  But they\'re in for a rude awakening when they realize that there just aren\'t that many people in New England sitting on loose Red Rocks and Mansfield tickets.  There\'s always a few, but there ain\'t ten thousand of them, it\'s not possible.

With everyone going for RR it was at least somewhat legit, because anyone in their right mind who got in is going to actually fly to CO and go.  But nobody is flying to Boston for one Sunday night show.

The number of people who actually want to go to Fenway to see Phish is probably around 125,000.  The number of people who just want the tickets is probably closer to 750,000.

Same as summer tour, look for Phenway tickets to start at $200 on the secondary market, and $350 for field seats.  Then wait for the market to correct itself in the last 10 days before the show when idiots in California and Indiana (etc.) realize they\'re not going to be able to trade their Fenways over the internet for Shorelines and Deer Creeks.

As always, good luck to everyone and share your extras with your friends in need!

Thanks man.  Of course it might be the only "column" on .info. :) Maybe I should really get into character and make a separate handle for the TMG.  I wish I had brighter news, but remember, it\'s going to work out.  Patience will pay.

So... does anyone know how the season ticket holders are notified about these events? Because I just spoke the the only season ticket holder that I know, and he hasn\'t been notified via email or anything about this Fenway thing yet... He\'s not a phan, and he\'s about the only person that I might be able to lock up tickets through, but he has no clue about it!

as far as i knew they get an email. i\'m just not sure if it was included in the same email about the DMB tickets. have him check the past email about those to see if they were.

i\'m on the same boat, but the guy i know is a little more savvy about concert tickets so i\'m hoping it works out. but i haven\'t received a response from him either way though.

Bad news ladies and gentlemen... season tickets are NOT being offered first crack at this show... just got the word. As in the past with other shows that has been the case... Not for this one though! I guess that makes it more of a *phair* shot.  Apparently they were sent an email with a link that brought them to the same page that we all had to fill out.  So were all even in our shots... well except for the scalpers.

Well at least the season ticket holders cant buy 8 tickets and sell them off to ticket agencies or scalpers just to make money for themselves.  I\'m not saying its completely phair but it gives everyone a better shot... to a point.
