there\'s dates missing from that list.
possibly, but not likely.
definitely. trust me
by the time the year is up, they\'d have played something like 20 shows in the northeast. we get plenty of phish.
Assuming my definition of the NE is the same as yours (Maine, NH, Vermont, Mass, RI, CT, NY, NJ, PA), there were 10 shows in the NE during the summer and there will be 7 on this tour. I\'ve got nothing against the other states, I\'m just wondering why neither of the two big shows are in the NE...
see above statement
All I\'m saying is that since the first NYE show back in \'89, either the yearly festival or NYE show was held in the North East... This is the first time in 15 years that that isn\'t happening... So let\'s agree to disagree on this item...
they are defo playing in miami for the new year...no doubt about it...
They best be Worcester dates. Maybe Albany. Take Worcester though.
where are my Providence dates!
van halen will not be played. trey doesn\'t fingertap
With 84 albums remaining at the time of this post, I\'ll go with Led Zep IV.
And if they really want to kill it, they\'ll trot out Robert Plant for vocals on Stairway.
Here\'s another far out scenario... they do Thriller (seeing that it is Halloween, they are in Southern California and it would be a great tribute to MJ), with the addition of the TAB horns in support. Here\'s where it gets a bit twisted, a) they attempt to sing the songs themselves and have it mediocre but funny b) they special guest Justin Timberlake to sing all the songs who has the vocal range to make it sound good... I have absolutely no evidence or rumors or anything to back this up... I just thought it would be cool if it played out that way.
i doubt JT has even heard of phish
maybe, but that band never ceases to amaze me with thier antics...

Thriller would be incredible given the songs and MJ\'s recent passing. My only hesitation would be that, as you keenly pointed out, the whole thing would have to be tongue-in-cheek. I think that\'s too much horsing around in one shot for a band this good. Sure we all love when they play I Kissed A Girl or when Fishman gets on the vaccum, but you can\'t do that for a whole set.
I\'m going to say that the deciding factor will be that you cannot build a better band to cover Led Zeppelin than Phish. And one more thing, it occurred to me after I made my prediction that IV has Goin to California. It\'s perfect.

This makes me wonder.... why? And also... thinking back, have I heard Trey fingertap even a little? I can\'t really think of an incident, like, ever....
Does he consider it a hack technique or what? I mean it\'s certainly not beyond Trey\'s capabilities to do. Timmy P rages it tastefully and creatively within the context of a jam.
Guess I\'m sort of glad though. By intentionally seemingly never fingertapping Trey has developed some other pretty original ways to run his own flavor of fast-lick style runs. The fact that some of Trey\'s jams are so damn intense without even using the "fingertap option" says a lot for the guy.
Or else maybe he just really got sick of listening to hair bands finger tap every single note and decided that was the wackness.
theyre doing the wall.
thats what you said for the puppethouse too.
