indio is right outside of palm springs and it is beautiful in a suburbish area .....the land that will be used is i believe called the empire polo fields.....they had a really good system for coachella..pretty much in and out...no traffic...but you couldnt camp with your car you have to dtop everything off or walk with your stuff...ot too far...but still...it was a tiny bit of a drag...however very beautiful area...
seems like an appropriate choice for the watered down 3.0

Well that Seattle theory presented a very weak case. Remember several pages back that Leith said a work order had been placed for Indio.
Thought it was obvious since the early stages of "Save The Date" surfaced. Every update on the map had solid \'date\' references nailed by so many people, not to mention all of the hard evidence exposed here (ie workers, hotel info, yada yada).
Anybody read any posts on Phish\'s twitter about the fest? They have the full log on Jamtopia, some really pathetic posting by idiot fans throughout these past few weeks. Entertaining to see so many certain statements turned upside down, with a new-founded east-coast west-coast rivalry developing in jam nation. Hilarious.
This fest is going to be sick. All those attending---EnJOY!

$200+service fees (TBD Monday, prob $20)+$15 per car (~$5 per person) = $225. That\'s your standard 2009 big fest price, nothing crazy there. Actually it\'s less than Bonnaroo, though Bonnaroo is 4 days not 3. Have fun everyone!
this would be awesome to go to for my birthday... :chin:
make sure y\'all read the faqs. they\'re highlarious!!
Will my cell phone work out there?
It\'s a crapshoot. Signal strength may vary depending on your provider\'s coverage and the whim of Craig, our telecom systems engineer, who can be a total dick.
anyone get their late summer phish tix in the mail yet? Im getting nervous...

SARATOGA SPRINGS — Don’t fret if you missed out on tickets to Phish’s sold out concert at Saratoga Performing Arts Center — they’re coming to the after-party.
When the band’s performance ends on Sunday, Aug. 16, at about 11 p.m., a few members of the legendary jam band will join fellow Vermonter Gordon Stone onstage at the Parting Glass for an after-show performance, according to Parting Glass co-manager Susan Thomas. However, which members of the band will actually appear with Stone remains a mystery.
Stone has a long history with Phish, having played pedal steel on 1991’s “Picture of Nectar” and 1993’s “Rift” albums.
The cover charge for the Parting Glass after-show is $5. Call 583-1916 or visit
