Missed it by 8 minutes. Ugh. Thanks for the messages Holly, Dave, and Melissa!
Look, I know it\'s all luck anyways so it really doesn\'t matter how they give them out, but I wish we as fans didn\'t have to get jerked around like this. Just do your preorder and go online when it says to and when you get shut out fine. I unsderstand that there\'s more people who want to go than can fit in the building. But this random release stuff is enough to make someone phlip out. *sigh*
i was at the mall (big surprise there) and nowhere near a computer when i got the initial text. thought it was total bullshit, no offense melissa
i haven\'t had any plans of going to red rocks...glad some people got tickets, however, this random ticketmaster thing does kind of suck for those people who did want to go and didn\'t hear about it in time. hope things work out in the lottery for you guys who didn\'t make out this time around....
anyway, if anyone hears anything about spac and hartford up on ticketmaster call me!!!! :wah:
To Dave\'s point, I guess a random evening release would certainly limit the ability of agencies to have their bots rake in all the tickets. I hadn\'t thought of that. And since it\'s all luck anyways, what difference does it make if you get lucky by happening to win the lottery or happening to be near a computer when they release the tickets? It\'s all the same thing really. And this way the system doesn\'t crash because very few people have a chance to log on. Perhaps they have stumbled on the best way to release tickets.
Well, if that window were open even 10 minutes that would be plenty of time to get rid of all the tickets. My gut tells me they\'re going to honor the people who got in.
i wonder though how many sold in that window...
In other news PT is crashed again. Same thing happened when they announced the first summer tour shows. How is that message board so popular?

I would guess it would have to be all of the 4-day passes. Remember that they\'re selling tickets to each individual show through TM and Phish has their own lottery tix and there are only about 9,000 tickets per night going on sale. So how many 4-day 2-ticket passes can there possibly be? 500? 1000 at most. That can go in less than a minute. They\'re gone. I\'m thinking it might be wise to just try for an individual show at next Thursday\'s onsale.
A quick scan of the secondary market shows Red Rocks tickets will cost about $275 a night if you don\'t get in via normal channels. Ouch.
not too pumped about secondary market cost. planning on going to red rocks, but now it seems like i have a smidge over a 0% chance of getting some tickets.
so this whole red rocks thing is a ser doozie. sorry to everyone who thought they scored tix.

can we get a little more positive please...just a little....
dave....heard cancellations have begun on the 4 day passes....any word on yours yet?
So this whole thing is a giant cluster
**** again? I\'m totally surprised.
i didn\'t get a cancellation email, but if you go into your account and click on the order, it says canceled. motherfuckers.
oh well. when something seems too good to be true, it usually is. i knew damn well there was a strong possibility of this happening, so..
anyways:
My Friend My Friend
apparently those tickets were supposed to be being diverted to Ticketsnow, not actual fans.
that\'s too bad about the tickets. I talked to a few people last night who got them.
When I heard about it I didn\'t think it was an error, but rather Phish trying to help get the tickets in phans hands. It is much more likely that a phan would get an early release than a scalper. Plus Phish has been known in the past to do clever things to put tix in the right hands.

exactly what i pointed out last night. but that\'s just a pipe dream in the minds of us fans. i wouldn\'t count on anything like that actually happening.
