dude, it\'s just a concert. so it goes. if you want in that badly you can start fluffing peck now, or pay $$ to some scalper. I would have loved to been there, but if I didn\'t get through, oh well. It\'s not like these are the only shows they\'re ever going to play!

so i had the two windows open and the screen told me I couldn\'t complete my sale if I had more than one screen open at the same time... needless to say I was in such a tizzy that I somehow ended up clicking the the window that I was able to buy the tickets in instead of the one that was still "waiting in line". ...this close...
Also needless to say, i am in a rather foul mood right now.

nice work peck, at least one of us got it.

i still can\'t believe i got tickets.

i really had ZERO hope going into 10am. i even debated not even bothering with it.

went to the page, refreshed at 10am, put in 2 tickets, clicked next.

word verification came up, and i COULD NOT read the 2nd word. thought for sure this would be my downfall. didn\'t want to try to refresh, so i just took a stab at it. i know for a fact that i typed the second word wrong, because i noticed a \'g\' after i sent it, that i failed to type, but apparently it didn\'t matter.

got to the \'wait time\' screen, which started at 1 minute, went up to 2, then 3. back to 2, back to 1, less than 1, 1... then the tickets came on the screen.

clicked UPS delivery, then clicked next, and almost put my fist through the screen when the next screen just said Sorry, we are unable to process your request. any hope that i\'d had at this point had just gone out the window.

but i clicked back to the delivery method screen quick, and clicked next again, and got to the login screen (even though i was already logged in. man, they were really **** with me). sent my login info, then up came the payment screen. accepted my default payment method, sent it, and about 30 seconds later, got my order confirmation.

wow.

Nice shot Dave!!  That\'s TM for ya...even when you actually get a ticket from them they still have to **** with you a little bit before they let you have it.  Bastards.

Meanwhile, I just got The Call from an old friend who got through but can\'t go.  He\'s giving me 1 of his tickets per night.  (Well to be precise he\'s selling them to me at face value.)  Wow.  Didn\'t see that one coming.  See you in Hampton!

Funny you should mention that.  The friend who just gave me tickets is someone I met while waiting in line for Phish tickets at the Framingham Mall in 1997.  I do miss it, I had some great times in those lines at the crack of dawn on Saturday mornings.  But I don\'t blame them for not doing it.  I was surprised when The Celtics did lines for this year\'s playoffs.  I went twice, once for Game 7 against the Cavs (got in) and once for Games 1 and 2 against the Lakers (def did not get in).  They were very ugly scenes.  It was very uncomfortbale and at times even frightening being there.  And it wouldn\'t be any different with Phish fans as opposed to sports fans.  Did anyone wait in line for Roseland Ballroom tickets in May 2000 during the Radio City run?  Or have you ever lined up at the door 3 hours early at Hampton Coliseum to be at the front of the rush to get in for the good seats?  Ugly scenes all.

waiting up all night in line was part of the expierence and was always fun. bring the boombox sleeping bag and a chair, along with a bunch of cassettes to miracle or trade with people. I remember going to see yes at meadows in 97(?) then driving down to meriden and hanging out all night. didn\'t know anyone there, it was fun as hell though. then you run through (marshalls I think it was?) to the back office at like 9:30 and they line you up again, then you get your tickets and laugh at how you got floor, the girl after you got nosebleed rear stage, the next guy got back of the stadium fishman side, etc. those were good times.
