Phish to cover Bona Fide at Halloween Festival...
i heard deuce, but my source wasnt 100% sure
A Phish "Live Track Pack" for Guitar Hero World Tour is available for download now and features live recordings of "Sample in a Jar," (12/1/94 Salem Armory, Salem, OR), "Down with Disease," (12/1/95 Hershey Park Arena, Hershey, PA), and "Chalk Dust Torture," (11/16/94 Hill Auditorium, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI as released on "A Live One"). The pack is compatible with 360, PS3 and Wii .
The Track Pack can be downloaded from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace and from the PlayStation Store (where the songs are also available as singles).
Anyone else download these tracks yet? I just did this afternoon. Short jams but they\'re pretty fun to play. Hopefully more jamband-ish tracks start to surface in the future for Guitar Hero. It\'s not like they wouldn\'t be able to base an entire game off of them. If they can do Aerosmith and Metallica, they sure as hell would be able to that off.

Got to play all 3 yesterday and my buddy was nice enough to pull out his mic stand so I could sing and play guitar at the same time. FIrst time I\'ve done that.
Started out on Hard (guitar) and had no trouble getting 85-90% on first reads, which makes them tough charts since I\'m usually 90-99% on Hard. Toughest was Chalkdust. The jam is tricky and there are also these little syncopated scrapes in between and during the verse vocals that are only one note but they\'re completely syncopated and have little to do with the rythm of the song and are tough to get. Later on Expert I failed Chalkdust several times and DWD once before eventually clawing my way through them.
Chalkdust vocals were also tricky because in live versions Trey often sings behind the beat and that is reflected in the chart. There are a few points where if you sing it "right" you\'ll actually be wrong on the chart.
So psyched that these songs are out! Hooray!
got all the phish tracks for GHWT and RB. DWD is definitely my favorite on guitar. haven\'t tried any other instruments other than vocals yet on all of them. my only gripe is that all the good (phish) tunes are in GH and not RB. i really hate having two franchises. Wilson (RB) is my least favorite out of all of them. way too hacked up. but regardless, it\'s great to finally have some phish in these games, and hopefully there will be plenty more to come.
Cool.
I play these songs on real guitar

Enjoy some California Phish festivities Leith, if you\'re going... I sure wish I could go to a Phish fest in this, the year 2009, but looks like it\'s not in the cards for me if I gotta hop on a plane and take several days off to make it there..
