youth becoming. regenerate interest. future bright. tour more. build it. they will come.
Next bass player = dude from Twiddle or guy from George Lesiw group on the standup double bass

you cannot be ser about the guy from twiddle.
i am all about it. if they can go to the west coast and have big shows with little promotion (fall 06 tour, from what i heard/read), then why stay here and have doozie after doozie in their home town?
If this ever happens, i\'m moving. I would gypsy it up bigtime.
I know ron has stated that the reason he doesn\'t want to continue is because he doesn\'t want to tour nationally and the rest of the band does. Still a statement from Tim, Adrian and Matt confirming that they are all still 100% dedicated to keeping the band going and intend to find a replacement and continue on without ronnie would be very reassuring to me.
Tim says, ?We are sad to lose a musical brother on stage and we wish Ron and his family all the best with everything. He is an inspiration to us all and we will keep the music going in honor of his spirit and hard work. We are currently auditioning bass players and plan to keep touring in 2008.?
I thought this was it. :hscratch:
as long as the new bassist can find the pocket, life will be good!
they need to find a bass player with no life outside of music...there, i said it
leave the band to chill with fam? now thats uber headie
leith, now your show count really sucks haha
now thats dick

Oh yeah that\'s his name. Would be awesome indeed, if he can play electric bass anywhere near as good as he plays the double bass!

semi-ser, yes. But Preston gets my vote.
 yup, him or Caitlin get my vote. Here\'s a pic from his myspace
^who is this guy, ive never heard of him.

There\'s an old saying, you can take the kid out of staven, but you can\'t take staven out of the kid, or something along those lines. Unfortunately for quite many folks, you can\'t even get the kid(s) out of staven, there is some sort of
**** up attachment to this town/area that I can\'t even fathom, it makes no sense. I can go through my high school yearbook (and probably davepeck\'s for that matter) and pick out only a handful of people who have legitimately left either East Haven itself or a 15 mile radius of East Haven. It may be like this elsewhere, but I\'m pretty sure not this town\'s extent.

see the thing is (and ive seen this happen a lot), is a band cannot rely on hometown groupies forever. there is NO way a band can suceed this way. Honestly, im suprised the breakfasts staven crowd stuck around for this long. eventually you need to market to younger crowds and expand from your hometown area. i know they have been trying to do this, but the time is NOW to really change direction and start focusing on promotion outside the CT proper.
Look folks, the Psychedelic Breakfast is over. Jordan and Ron are gone. Everyone is older, inculding the band and the fans. It was an unbelievable thing while it lasted. Tim and Adrian are TOP NOTCH touring musicians. They can keep the name The Breakfast, in fact i think that is a great idea. But they need to move out from their highschool and college buddies and start making this a real career, just like Ron did with teaching. I agree with a lot of Leiths points. Start booking some serious tours in Colorado, Texas, North Carolina, New Orleans, Chicago, California, Seattle, etc. Get the talk about The Breakfast nationally and begin building a new fan base.
Rememer, most of the fans you will get from here on out will probably have no idea who Jordan is, and a lot will not know much about Ron either. So it really doesnt matter that they will not be in the band for a national tour. If they can find a very solid bass player and hit the road, they will blow up, mark my words.
Rest in Peace PB
Here comes The Breakfast
