I\'m just more interested in best experience in a restaurant than just best tasting apizza. I\'d rather know where to take a New Haven newbie for dinner than know that a bunch of people who worship Sally\'s picked Sally\'s as the best apizza.
You should try Trackside Pizza in Wallingford if you want great pizza and a great experience. Quick service, friendly owners and waiters, and excellent selection of beverages because their family owns foxon park. And on top of everything else you get to eat inside of antique train car. The pizza is great too. When you factor everything in its my favorite pizza place just barely beating sallys. Plus you can go to trackside and know that by the time you get out of there the night is not almost over.
Sounds good! Where the $%& is Wallingford?

Ooh, I just drove down 91 today but didn\'t see your post. Woulda snagged a quick pie on my way through town! Well, I\'d love to get there soon. Plan on hitting Modern and/or Pepe\'s before the Cafe 9 shows, but that\'s not for 2.5 months.
You know what the only problem with Superhaven apizza is? Once you\'ve had it a few times, all other apizza starts to suck. A lot. It\'s not a problem if you live in the Superhaven area, you can just keep on chowin\'. But for people like me who visit a lot but live elsewhere, apizza is ruined. New York City is supposed to have good apizza. In the last 4 months I have had all 3 NYC chains twice (at 2 different locations), as well as a host of independent apizzerias and delis. Some are better than others, but I really don\'t get off on any of them. I don\'t rate any one of them higher than a 5. Even the nice sit-down apizza restaurants have to have a stellar night to get a 7. Had I never discovered the wonders of Superhaven apizza, I would have found all of this apizza to be just fine. But now I don\'t like it. I suppose this is good for health reasons. However, I have to say that the joys of Superhaven apizza are balanced out by the depreciation in apizza enjoyment outside of Superhaven.
I have to second that, even though I haven\'t even experienced all of the Staven pizza places (only 2)... However, Seth, you think you have it bad, try living in NEW HAMPSHIRE. ugh,
You think you have it bad? Try Alabama pizza!

Think I can beat that. I have NEVER had even a half decent pizza in the UK unless I\'ve made it myself.
Funnily enough, the best European pizza I\'ve ever had was in the South of France - Italian pizza is usually pretty bad too!
