I\'m lighting Hot Buttered Rum at The Fillmore in S.F. on 5/19

Sweet gig. Pretty much a "tryout".

TLG\'s manager is now HBR\'s manager also.
He had brought my resume and work to TLG last year when they told him they had a friend in mind already.
So he kept me in mind and when he became HBR\'s manager he thought of me first to be the LD.

Funny thing is 2 of the guys in the band remember me from when I used to light their college project Oversoul.
SO I\'m thinking this is a lock as long as I bring my "A" game on the 19th.

Even if I don\'t become the LD permanently at least I get to light up The Fillmore for a night!!!!!!!!!

pretty sweet gig man... i just might be in the area that day in fact.... my friend and i are driving cross-country next month and plan on driving the entire PCH from san diego... if we\'re in the area, you know we\'ll be there ! :D

Yeah we\'ll see. The Fillmore show is a tour ending, coming home type show and they only have festie day appearances booked so far after that so........
Hopefully my Fall will be filled w/ Butter! If Chris gets things rolling like he did for TLG I could be very busy!

Thur. 4-26 at Daniel Street confirmed.

I could get in touch with Zac and/ or Bryan. I\'m sure they would be thrilled to have video shot of them. They\'re a great bunch of guys and an awesome band!

Leith drop your resume to the Motet, their LD Robin just got picked up by Yonder Mtn and devotchka (huge indi rock band)

Hot buttered rum really surprized me, im not much of a newgrass fan, but they kicked ass, and then banjo player picked up a flute from left field and it was SICK

How did it go last night?

I probably would have showed up if I:

A. remembered this thread from last month prior to late last night

B. wasn\'t getting up at 6am for Bay to Breakers.

HBR kicks some major ass live! They are really really good and they brought it. Trevor Garrod sat in w/ them for GD\'s Loose Lucy and Dylan\'s Don\'t Think Twice so I was totally stoked.

It was nice to rekindle my friendship w/ Zac and Bryan talking about when our bands would jam together when I was lighting Pure Noodle back in the day.

I was working w/ a video guy as they had a screen w/ images that I complemented w/ lighting. So we had no haze (other than aud created) so I had very little beam work and went w/ my color show instead.
The band was very very happy w/ my work to say the least and we are looking forward to further collaboration in the future.



I was too busy to take pics but a video was rolling so I will be getting a copy.
