1) I\'m really pissed about the Olympics being held in China. The human rights abuses should be enough to make reasonable nations decide not to compete there. Did you know that in England, Olympic Team members have to sign a document that basically prevents them from making any statements about current events etc. in China? What a bunch of BS. No way would I sign anything that inhibits my free speech just so I could compete in a sport. Also, I am pretty pissed at all of the US riders (horseback riding) who are planning on competing, considering this year there have been several serious incidents of organized horse fighting for entertainment in China. Also, keep on dumping that sewage guys:

The one funny thing to come out of this is the city-wide effort to eliminate signs such as:

2) There are two humungous flies loose in my house. One landed on my big toe a little bit ago. Pretty unpleasant.

3) Who was that guy Smith who pitched tonight?

4) Nancy Pelosi and the Fairness Doctrine suck.

I disagree with #5, respectfully.

What i would like to see, is a few VT Songs in a row WITHOUT a switch up. It\'s a groovy tune that they jam the shiz out of when they are all on their best instruments.

That stuff about China ain\'t cool.

2. China owns more of our country than we do.
3. China is more than likely the biggest polluter in the world. (IMO...unverified at this point)

i didnt realize anyone fought horses. in fact, i didnt even know horses could fight each other.

It is. There are 3 disciplines of riding in the Olympics, one of which is the one I compete in.

I think horseback riding may be the only Olympic sport in which men and women compete against each other as equals, which I think is pretty cool.

i dunno, boycotting certain olympic games based on the country it is in is soooo 20th century. ****, i wish countries would boycott the olympics when its in the US cuz Americans are a bunch of stuck up pricks.

I personally think that anyone that is talented and lucky enough to compete in the Olympics should take advantage of that opportunity regardless of which country it takes place in.

Agree that China has issues, but so does every country on earth. You could easily scrape up dirt on absolutely any country to make your case why the Olympics shouldn\'t be there...especially any country big enough to host a Summer Olympics. I\'d bet that Switzerland or Jamaica or New Guinea probably have fewer problems than China, but they\'re also incapable of hosting the world\'s most massive spectacle. So yeah, China sucks, fine, **** about it, then get over it because some huge corrupt country has to host the summer Olympics and I\'m sure people in other countries had plenty to say when the Olympics were in Atlanta in 1996.

Here\'s another thing:

My friggin cat is driving me nuts. Every time he jumps up on the couch and lays down next to/on me, he starts going crazy with the licking and cleaning. It sounds SO GROSS. I have a No Licking When You\'re Next to Me rule, which he is VERY aware of, and still he persists. The worst is when he makes a sound akin to the one you make if you open your mouth, put the back of your tongue on the roof of your mouth, and force air out. I know he doesn\'t even NEED to lick because he\'s been doing it across the room on one of my chairs off and on ALL NIGHT! Come ON George!
