I figured out what took me so long- I\'m calling it Stevie Wonder Syndrome.

As anyone around my age (29) can atest, some of the greatest artists of the 70\'s put out some insufferable crap in the 80\'s.  I\'m old enough to remember nonsense like I Just Called To Say I Love You, but Superstition was before my time.
As a result when others would speak of these artists, I\'d think \'like yeah I\'m familiar with that ****\', when I really had nothing but the poorest of subject samples.

I think I can thank Wonderful Tonight for my initial resistance to Clapton.

Bruce Hornsby also fits in this category.

experienced the loss and pain I have experienced,
I transcend race, hombre.

Burzum - Aske

It\'s great music to listen to while driving through the snow. While it is not snowing today, it snowed on Monday when I was planning on driving...right.

I\'m not sure why I like it, ie why it\'s good, if other people here like them I\'m sure they have their reasons. I\'ve always enjoyed listening to them, and that\'s as good a reason as any.

RHCP- Californication

It shows Kiedis on his first sober album. The style is completly different from previous RHCP outings. The new founded sober friendship of Kiedis and Frusciante results in a more song friendly, pop oriented release.  Less sex, more reflection, but still retaining the balls that make them RED HOOOTTTTT.

Gong- Cambert Electrique

The beginning of the sound that would sort of define the Canterbury scene.  A psychedelic jazz excursion into the dementia of Daevid Allen.  It\'s rocking, funky and dark.

Del The Funky Homosapian\'s futuristic concept album. Del never ceases to amaze me with his flows and Dan The Automator & Kid Koala drop some crazy apocoliptic beats on this ****. Del is coming out w/ a new album in march so make sure to check that out if you like underground hip hop at all.
