While I\'m all for these shows and think it\'s a really cool idea, these should be breakfast shows, not side projects. The band seems to be growing alittle as of late, and needs to keep playing as much as possible to pick up all those moe. fans who are going to be looking for a new band to follow.

That being said, I still hope to make it down for one or two of these shows, they sound very interesting.

they should do 26 a night(or a day)a-z,every show a little different,imo.

you mean instead of show 1 being A-D show 2 being E-H (or something to that effect) ect... doing A-Z every night and spreading it out?  I like that idea.

This needs some big publicity, I mean really this is an incredible/ridiculous undertaking.

Making free (or at least cheap) discs of Breakfast and Timmy Tour shows available at these gigs should be a huge priority for the dotINFO community. While I don\'t imagine that these shows will be overly representative of Breakfast shows, this is definitely a great way to get people to listen to Tim Palmieri. And as we all know, Timmy Tour is a gateway drug that often leads to Breakfast shows.
Go see your Breakfast, there are starving Leiths in California

The New Haven Advocate did a real nice, yet unfortunately titled, write up about these shows:

there was also a blurb in the hartford courant:

Quote
A trio of New Haven musicians perform the entire Beatles catalog, in alphabetical order, over five Sundays in August at Daniel Street in Milford. Guitarist Tim Palmieri, of the Breakfast; former Breakfast band mate Ron Spears on bass; and frequent collaborator Sean Miller on mandolin, plan to start with "A Day in the Life" and continue through "You Really Got a Hold on Me." They\'ll also be including non-album tracks, such as "Not Guilty" by George Harrison and "Come and Get It" by Paul McCartney.

The Beatles A-Z for Breakfast

The Breakfast?s Tim Palmieri will perform the entire Beatles catalog in alphabetical order---from "A Day in the Life" to "You Really Got a Hold On Me"---over the course of five summer nights in Milford, CT. For the mammoth undertaking, Palmieri will be joined by former Breakfast bassist Ron Spears and mandolinist Sean Miller, as well as a handful of special guests. The trio will perform at Milford?s Daniel Street each Sunday in August, running through more than 215 songs.

"It\'s really just celebrating everything that they\'ve given us," Palmieri said in a statement. "I absolutely feel all of these songs from the inside to the out."

Palmieri also promises unrecorded Beatles songs like George Harrison?s "Not Guilty" and Paul McCartney?s "Come and Get It" and will broadcast the Fab Four?s solo work over the venue?s PA between sets.

The Beatles A-Z will take place at 6 PM on August 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31. Meanwhile, The Breakfast will perform at Kearny, NJ?s Donegal Saloon this Friday.

and this on metromix:

Quote
On Sunday evenings this August, a trio of New Haven musicians will take Daniel Street back to the ?60s as they revisit the Beatles\' catalog in full. Led by local legend Tim Palmieri of the Breakfast, the group will perform "The Beatles A to Z," exploring the Fab Four?s entire repertoire of recordings, including some tracks that never appeared on an album.

For those of you scratching up a cheat sheet at home, that?s more than 215 songs, to be performed in alphabetical?not chronological?order. ?A Day in the Life? to ?You Really Got a Hold On Me.? For a sneak peak at the basic song list, check out a copy of ?The Beatles: Complete Scores.?

And, if that?s not enough to satisfy your craving, Palmieri and cohorts Sean Miller (mandolin) and Ron Spears (bass) have arranged for Beatles solo project tracks to spin during set breaks. Whether your favorite is ?Hey Jude? or ?Rocky Raccoon,? you?re sure to hear it over this whirlwind series of shows.

Tickets cost $7 in advance and $10 at the door. Doors open at 4 p.m., with the opening band at 5 p.m. and the Beatles tribute starting at 6 p.m. For more information, visit the Beatles A to Z MySpace page.
