the T might be the biggest joke in Boston.  That thing runs like it\'s being pulled by horses.  Did they ever hear of the efficient straight line?  That thing takes more turns than my one legged cousin!!

I like a lot of parts of Boston, I just don\'t like driving there. And...the couple of parts I\'ve been to lately did nothing for me. I get the same vibe from NYC as well. NYC is easier driving, but less of a "good vibe"...if you can understand my babble...

i think the T kicks ass.  no it\'s not faster than driving, but neither are the trains in NY.  i actually think it\'s a great system.  other than the fact that it ends early.

Me too, especially the green line!  I love Boston, but I\'d never be able to drive there, I\'d lose my mind. :D

ughhh...I live in Boston. The T officially sucks ass. Fucking garbage. I love how half the time the new charlie system doesn\'t work. Huge lines of people waiting for one charlie machine because the other 5 are broken. So ridiculous. The staff is a fucking joke.

Actually the trains in NY are about as fast as driving would be.

Of course you have to come and go according to their schedule so that comes in to play. But if I left my place on the train at the same time you left in a car driving I would be willing to bet I will be there before you.

For an efficient transit system, check out BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit).  The trains move up to 80 MPH, you can bring bikes aboard, the pricing and ticket collections make sense, tv monitors in every station tell you when the next train is arriving, the stations are spotless and the intercom system notifies riders anytime there is any delay in service, no matter how brief (and the estimated setback in travel time).  Oh yeah, on days when the air quality is poor in the Bay Area, they declare a "Spare the air day" and often provide free rides as an incentive to get people out of their cars.

The T has a very strange (actually inefficient comes to mind) pricing system.  I believe I paid 1 token ($1.25) to take the green line from downtown all the way out to route 128 in Newton.

I: May Fly Disarray* > Sleeping Beauty, Drum Solo > jam > Tunage > Drunk Monk Bar, Question > Tunage > Rufus > Taboo Or Not Taboot

* unfinished

Thanks to postom/igzy/fitz for the setlist!

Despite of the delay in leaving and the opening band running long, the show was pretty solid.  My highlight was the jamming out of May Fly.  By far inspired and next level Breakfast jamming.  Tight and with a point.  The point, to fucking own your face, throw it on the ground and dance all over it.  It was good to hear Sleeping Beauty. Tunage had a great intro.  Drunk Monk was solid.  Question was FIRE.  I forgot that it is one of Peaches favorite tunes, so it was great to watch that kid rage the shit outta it.  He may have smashed a few ceiling tiles with his head and/or fists......The Rufus was top shelf as well.......

Boston as a city has its asthetic appeal, however most of the people there are fucking assholes.  Please note that I say "most".  I am talking about the ones who have no patience for out of towners, though they can drive through our state like fucking morons thinking they own the road, but when we come to their town and are lost because the grid is so fucked (big dig = big dooze), they turn a deaf ear to inquiries for directions.  Not to mention the fucking rules that this city imposes on its inhabitants....I wouldnt be suprised if they still burn people at the stake for "acts against god".........

Anywho, I would say the Boating With The Breakfast kick off show was a great success in many ways......

Are you ready for Block Island?
Can you taste the fear?
For the devil is drawing near........

PS. As for public rail transportation in any city, the BART has it over any system, anywhere.....

I thought you were going to bust some of them yourself. I saw you punch a couple of them and was waiting for one to break into pieces.

Ha....I definitely didnt know what i was doing at points in the night

Whos ass was Chadwick grabbing?

The only good thing about the boat out of boston is that the ride is 100% smoother than the nyc boat.......there was definitely no tossing or bobbing from side to side on the river charles.......

It could be a bisexual twinkle........i know that chad does dig the ladies...but he has the tendency to freak them out even more than i do.......however, there is definitely something that says "I like to take it in the face" about our good ole friend Cwick.
