Who really cares? He should turn his Redsux Fan Card in.

the world series brah.

as has been said many times in the coverage, the score of this game does not represent the nail bitting feeling until the 7th or 8th inning.

yeah bro, that\'s why we were tied for the best record in the AL and are going to the world series.

fixed.
The crickets and the rust-beetles scuttled among the nettles of the sagethicket. "Vamanos amigos," he whispered, and threw the busted leather flintscraw over the loose weave of the saddlecock. And they rode on in the friscalating dusklight.  --Eli Cash

Yeah but according to Seth they should not be here. Right?
If you bail on your team that early in a series you really should not be rooting for the team when they man up and win esp. considering that all of the real redsux fans on here never gave up hope and kept posting such. Those are real fans.

This is how Seth showed his love for the team in true front runner fashion.
When the team went down only 2 games to 1 he posted:

The Sox are cooked.  Oh well.  I should be way more upset than I am, but I\'m really not taking it too hard.  Having the Pats and Celtics and BC Eagles around has me too excited to get upset.  Sprinkle in a little 2004 grace period and this is going to be the easiest-to-swallow Red Sox playoff loss of my liftetime.  Sometimes its harder than others, and this is about as unhard as it gets.  They didn\'t blow it horiffically like the Padres or Mets, they didn\'t underachieve like the Yankees, they didn\'t flat-out suck like the Royals or Pirates.  They just played right up to the max of their potential, which is the ALCS and no further.  Hard to get too upset about that.

Plus I\'m finding it hard to totally love a team that does so much stupid stuff.  If Jacoby Ellsbury plays last night, the Sox win.  First, he easily catches Lofton\'s home run.  That ball landed about 4 inches back on the 6-foot ledge, where any major league outfielder easily grabs it provided that he\'s there.  Drew just didn\'t get there in time.  Ellsbury would have been there a full 1-2 seconds early with a timed jump.  Then he would have driven in Manny from second with two out in the 4th inning, a spot in which Drew would never, ever get a hit and obviously didn\'t.  Drew is a franchise-killer and Dice-K still has franchise-killer potential, and it\'s hard to get into a team when they blow so much money on stiffs.  Now you\'ve got the season riding on Wakefield making his first start in 3 weeks coming off injury.  I wouldn\'t mind seeing him in this game if healthy, but first start coming back from injury?  I hope we can at least get back to Fenway for a game, Beckett can probably steer us through Game 5, but it\'s Indians in 5 or 6.

Average Nielson rating for each game of Rockies/Indians: .01

First, we go to Game 7, then we go to the World Series.  Thanks for Asking, Al!  Check out my video of the end of the game, I got a GREAT shot of the Crisp Catch!

Notes from Game 7...

High energy everywhere, even on the T on the way in nobody was sitting still.  Everyone was up and moving even though there were open seats on the train.

Enter Fenway at 7:34.

People in the park are nervous but psyched, not freaked out.  Again, what you are looking at, ladies and gentlemen, are the long term ramifications of the events of 2004.  Without 2004 this place is freaked out, waiting for disaster.  Man those days seem so long ago already!

Without knowing they were playing, I totally called the Dropkick Murphys to play the anthem.  They were awesome, and "Shipping Up To Boston" (the song from the Departed) really got it going.  I also called Sox alumni for first pitch and was correct, although I never would have guessed Kevin Millar.

Through 2 Dice is perfect and we\'re up 2-0 but it\'s the most bittersweet 2-0 lead imaginable because of those 2 damn double plays (setting the LCS record for GIDPs).  If Papi hit a 2-run homer and everyone else just went quietly, we\'d be rockin.  But 2-0 on 2 DPs doesn\'t have anyone sold.

Third inning, another run, I tell my buddy 5 will do it.  We\'re almost there.

For the first inning, everyone was up when Dice had 2 strikes.  From then on, only half the place stood.  Everyone from section 15 all the way down to Section 1 and around to the bleachers is up.  (I\'m in 14.) Everyone from 16 and out to left field is down.  So in other words, the more expensive the seats, the less people are standing.  Hmmmm.....

4th and 5th energy drops as Dice gets shaken and Westbrook suddenly mows down 8 in a row and looks great.  3-2.  Highly uncomfy, although once Dice survives the 5th I suddenly feel some confidence that the Tribe might not get this run.

6th and 7th: OKIE!  He\'s back in April form!  I can\'t believe we nuked Japan, I fucking LOVE that country right now!  The inning-ending double play that we turned to deny the tying run had the place RAGING.  Just when I thought it couldn\'t get louder, the Pedroia homer in the bottom of the 7th is the most insane moment I\'ve ever seen in over 100 games attended at Fenway Park.  People practically ripping the chairs out. Awesome.

8th: Okie makes a mess, 1st and 3rd no outs, tying run up.  Here comes Papelbon!  I have no doubt he\'s getting us out of this, and he does.   The party officially  starts.  No way Papelbon is giving up three.  It\'s over a whole inning early.  Gorgeous.

9th: And for good measure, 6 more in the eighth and the PARTY IS ON!  I can\'t help but flashback to the afternoon when the Patriots won in similar, steamrolling fashion.  What a great time to be a Boston fan.  I mean, wow.  2007.  It\'s never going to get any better.

Postgame: Make our way down to the dugout, where I get sprayed with champagne by Papelbon.  All the baseball royalty is right in front of us and even talking with the fans between interviews...Epstein, Henry, Lucchino, Gammons, Shaughnessy, Ryan, Kurkjian, Reynolds, Remy, Orsillo...good times!  Top 3 moments were Papelbon\'s Riverdance (excellent, had to have practiced that), Ortiz\'s speech while pounding a beer, and Dice-K leaving the trophy alone on the mound.

Incredible moment of my life.  How many Sox fans can say they\'ve been sprayed down with champagne by the team?  Bring on the Rockies.

peace,
Wolfman

the best news here is that there is no game on friday (whew!), and we can go eat at The Hangar in peace before the iron horse.

It\'s also good news that the breakfast will not be playing during a clinching game.

Being that I was born in Denver, but grew up in Boston...I will still cheer for the Sox.

Spectacular point.  Even the scheduling is coming up roses.  World Series is gonna KILL the Hangar.  Hopefully they just have some wings left after games 1 and 2.  The Hangar always rents a big refrigerated (freezer-ated?) trailer to house extra wings for the Super Bowl...they\'re going to have to bust that out again now if they haven\'t already.

Thanks Paul.  Honestly, I just pounded Craigslist hard all day while watching the Patriots until I found the sweetheart deal.  The tough part about hitting CL a few hours before gametime is that you have to be very close to the venue to pull off an exchange.  But since I am in Boston, I just worked it until I found some people who were in a pinch.  CL is work and a lot of bullshit to sift through but persistence can pay off bigtime.

so the WS starts on Wednesday, right? That means game three will be Saturday night. How come everytime I go to Burlington, the Red Sox are playing.
Love many, trust few and don\'t be late.
