if was I was getting paid millions of dollars a year to play a game I would at least be a professional about it. Arguing a call is one thing but what he did was way over the line. Unless the ump called him a dirty f#ckin N*gg^r there is no excuse for flipping out like that. And even if he did it\'s still not an excuse to push his own coach around like that. Instant karma is a bitch. too bad he didn\'t even learn his lesson but at least he made a total fool out of himself and his entire team and drastically hurt their play off chances.

I can see what you\'re saying but the team has actually been catalyzed by this as evidenced by last night\'s 9th inning comeback and the current score of 8-2 in the 5th. 1 game back of the D\'Backs and 1 game ahead of the Phillies and Rockies with 4 games left.
Worrying is like praying for something you don't want.

well i actually do hope you make it but only because I\'d rather face you in the first round than the Phillies in the second...if we even hang on to make it in that is.

What\'s up with the Yanks celebrating like they won the world series after clinching the wild card?  You\'d think it was the first time they\'d made the post season in years.

yeah but it\'s not even the division, when the sox clinched the wild card it was very subdued.  no champagne, no real big celebration, I don\'t know maybe it\'s just me but it seemed over done.  They were saying on the radio A-Rod was crying.....  Not that there\'s anything wrong with that in and of it self for the rookies I\'d understand, but A-Rod\'s been there once or twice.

The Yankees have one hell of a season. They celebrated because a few months ago they shouldn\'t even have been playing baseball.

I knew all along! ;)

Milton Bradley is the biggest idiot in all of baseball.

His coach should have just punched him right in the face.

You have no clue man. Milton has been trying very hard and the Padre players love him on the team. He was totally incited by the Ump as the First Base coach reported and today that Ump got suspended for baiting Bradley.

I\'m not saying he shouldn\'t have gotten into it with this ump.  But anyone that\'ll struggle against his own coaches/ teammates to the point of injury just to get in an umps face about a non-incident from a previous inning... has got to be a pretty big idiot.

He got hurt struggling because the guy had just called him "a fucking piece of shit" and kept jawing at him because he knew Milton would not take someone calling him a profanity.
Milton and the first base coach both have said Milton was cool until the profanity.

An Umpire should know better. They should be impartial and this guy was not.
Yeah In the heat of a playoff chase, Milton should have just let the guy talk shit. He should just let the ump get away with shit just because he is in a position of authority. Yeah you guys are right. Milton is an idiot because he could not do the obvious thing that you all would do in the same situation with all the adrenalin running and just calmly take the guys shit.

The umpire is wrong for going after Bradley but its Bradley\'s fault for his own injury. 5 year olds throw temper tantrums not professional athletes.

OK can I get your bosses number and when he calls you a fucking piece of shit in front of everyone please just sit there and take it like a good professional.

He threw a fit like a little baby.  And he got hurt.  Karma!

Regardless of who is at fault in the situation, I hate to say it but I finally think I might agree with Klout on one thing....

Speaking of haters, the Nationals just pissed all over Shea by finishing off their sweep last night. Coming into this series they were last in the majors in runs scored. They scored a total of 32 runs in their 3 games against the Mets. Yikes.

Still 4 games left in the season and besides the NL Central nothing has been decided yet. Diamondbacks, Padres [-1], Mets [-1], Rockies [-2] and Phillies [-2] are all playing for 3 playoff spots.

Padres go to Milwaukee for a 4 game series. If it comes down to it Peavy would be able to pitch on Sunday on 4 days rest. I am hoping it doesn\'t come down to that as he would be the ideal starter in Game 1, which will most likely be on the road.

Go Padres!
Smell my mule.

That\'s why he\'s such an insane hothead.  He got named Milton Bradley, and he\'s had to defend himself ever since.

Just like a boy named sue!

enough talk about the padres. they aren\'t winning the wild card or the nl west.

let\'s get back on topic: The Mets being swept by the Nationals. As it stands now the 34-35 against NL East teams. I wonder how many more games the Mets will lose and if they will fire Willie after the season. I mean the lead was 7 games two weeks ago, now its only one.

And if that wasn\'t enough, here is a song I thought all you Mets fans would enjoy

Meet the Mets: 2007 Edition

Beat the mets, beat the Mets,
Last place teams defeat the Mets.
Hanging sliders, minor-league speed,
Guaranteed to waste a seven run lead.

Because the Met bullpen keeps fading away,
October baseball won’t be at Shea.

Mota…Sosa…,
Every game is now in doubt.
Can anyone who’s on this staff,
Get three men out?
