Fairy has gone through at least five variations. My personal favorites are these two acoustic shows. Additionally, go get the earliest copy you can find (99\'). It became very heavy with the release of read radio. Before that it sounded completely different, and then they completely changed it again on 8/12/05 when they played the \'bluegrass version\'

Man, I am JAMMING OUT to 3/21/01 right now...acoustic at the old Fire and Water cafe in Northampton. Jordan on a real piano, Adrian with a 4 piece drum set and a bunch of handrums, acoustic bass & guitar. Tim\'s with the pedals running through the acoustic/electric guitar are ser. Nothing like packing 75 people into every last inch of Fire n Water for an acoustic show for a cover of $0. When\'s the next acoustic show? Those Fire and Water shows and the show in a coffeehouse in Brattleboro were awesome.

8/12/05 Acoustic Cafe
Bluegrass version

top notch versions of the song right there.

Hi FrankZappa
checked out your choice and downloaded all 35 versions while I was at it -  your March 21st show was a bit of a puzzle as the last five tracks were mistitled on downloads - so the get Fairy you have to download Glady\'s Pimp etc
So now i\'ll have a night with the \'fairies\' and discover my own favourite ;)

9.18.04 Wheelhouse  Tavern is my favorite, I wish that had ended a set.

Also the Rocks-Off, Fairy->Loose Lucy, is very unique.
Too fat for a tandem bike, and too drunk for a Mountain Bike...taste the fear.

^^def agree with the Rocks Off version. It sounds really good.

Other than that I always liked the older versions better they were a little "harder" When they came back in (Sprinkle your ........dust) It seemed more dramatic.  But maybe it\'s just cause I got used to the song.
