@ BUGS

To see a bug that\'s hairy, crawling on the floor
While you are expecting someone at the door
Stomping in frustration, lookin\' like a clown
So the person outside, won\'t be flipping out

Bugs, slidin\' slippery, avoiding death from my big toe

You son of a gun, you\'ve gone and done
Infested my home

I\'ll leave some toaster crumbs, lurking in the corner
Protecting pets and rascals, welcome all the more
Gathering all your friends, in the corner I left
A few crumbs we call grub, to show you to your end

Suddenly my consience came to me and then I said

You little bugs, you drive me nuts
Now you\'re my friend

Who cares what some people think is right or wrong
Having bugs for my friends....
You know, you can\'t go wrong
You know, you can\'t go wrong
Bug off
Bug On (x2)

Bug off (x8)

Livin\' with my decision, no sweat they are my pets
And doing favors for me, the best help you can get
Now I\'m never lonely, when no one visits our house
Which is mostly all the time, cause they kicked them out...

Cause they kicked them out...

Hey, I finally graduated from Berklee and I\'ve been pretty busy trying to start my own jamband.  It\'s going pretty well. I live in Mass so I don\'t go to as many Breakfast shows as I would like. The last one I went to was Toads a couple of months ago.  It\'s cool that you remembered me. Talk to you later Brotha.

i think the lyrics to no glove are better than the lyrics to bugs, as bold of a statement as that is.  at least the no glove lyrics are funny.  these are just stupid.

If Lerherbles can come back, so can Bugs!

Actually, I don\'t miss Bugs at all.  I mean now that we\'ve got stuff like Tunage and OE and Psygn and Gravity...Bugs joins No Glove in the Dear Mrs. Reagan Memorial "There\'s Just No Need For That Song Anymore" category.

I really like this song though I can\'t help thinking of that horrible MTV movie Joe\'s Apartment everytime I hear it.

Me too! How can you not like lyrics where someone becomes friends with the bugs that infest their house? That shit is awesome. It\'s also so totally different sounding then any other Breakfast tune.

Then again, Bugs now carries Bustout Factor.  Can\'t discount Bustout Factor.  For fans of the song, it\'s a huge treat if they hear it.  So it\'s definitely worth playing once in a while.  It just shouldn\'t return to the Staple Status it had in 01-02...it was in over its head appearing on 50% of setlists.  I doubt it will ever get back to that point, so I think everyone wins with an occasional bustout.
