two things:
-i can probably help you with port forwarding. it involves logging into your router as if it was a site, and changing settings. usually creating a rule for your download client that specifies certain ports or a range of ports. more help may require personal assistance. i also heard the subject has been addressed repeatedly on this very board.
-you can hide your ip address easily. most of the better download programs will still work too, (azereus, eMule, etc...). i found a place in s****en that you log onto when you begin using the internet super highway, it changes your ip every thirty seconds. even if you get traced with one, it is a s****ish ip. most european countries are hard core privacy nazis and will never have the rite to seize a company\'s records.
the s****e connection, (relakks.net), works though. and it is only 2 dollars a month. cheaper if you sign up for more.
[sidebar: my sister was rocking limewire hard last year to download some shitty band or another. one day she received a notice she was being sued by arista records for like 3,500 dollars due to her theivery. she settled and pays 50 dollars a month for god knows how long, and she is never supposed to use her computer for music again...shady. obviously american based companies have no qualms about helping you break the law, then turning you in the same day. myself, i would never even consider stealing music. think of the children!]
