yikes!! good thing you are okay. i would say to chill out with the alcohol in the car though. even if you are just having a beer, you never know if someone is going to hit you or what\'s going to happen. a good friend of mine down in va was driving w/ beer in her car and some old lady hit her. she ended up getting charged for having the alcohol, etc.

Or you might spill a perfectly good beer...

Glad you\'re alive!!! But...what\'s the difference of drinking a beer on back roads or on I-91? I\'d prefer the highway!

so i would have more time to drink it rather than just slug it down.

there really wasnt any logic involved in the decision to not take 91 last night. i just got lucky that i went a different way and was in a safe place for the brakeline to crap out.

i called carla while i was driving with no brakes to tell her i wouldnt be at bar because at first that was biggest concern at the time, and she told me to put the car in a lower gear. so thank you carla for talking some sense into me before i even had a chance to freak out,\\.

did you find out what the problem was.... mine was the master cylinder which basically pushes the fluid to the brakes. i ended up changing it myself for 50 bucks

the brakeline was fucked up. i noticed a trail of brake fluid all the way up my street this morning after i woke up.

i was at the oakdale today when the guy from the towing company came. i left the car unlocked and he said he tried stepping on brakes and brake fluid was squirting out when he did that. i guess it was just a matter of time before it happened.

well, if it\'s a brake line you are lucky because that\'s not nearly as expensive to change ( a piece of rubber tubing is cheaper than all new pads). Something made you change your mind that night and take the backroad but that is because it was not your time yet. Please learn from this chris, and I don\'t mean that you should drink all the time while behind the wheel. Count your blessings brother.

Did you try the ebrake? Did it work? Start saving man, your going to need a new car eventually.

Radiohead
"Killer Cars"

Too hard on the brakes again
What if these brakes just give in?
What if they don\'t get out of the way?
What if there\'s someone overtaking?
I\'m going out for a little drive
And it could be the last time you see me alive
There could be an idiot on the road
The only kick in life is pumping his steel

Wrap me up in the back of the trunk
Packed with foam and blind drunk
They won\'t ever take me alive
\'Cause they all drive...

Don\'t die on the motorway
The moon would freeze, the plants would die
I couldn\'t cope if you crashed today
All the things I forgot to say
I\'m going out for a little drive
And it could be the last time you see me alive
What if the car loses control?
What if there\'s someone overtaking?

Wrap me up in the back of the trunk
Packed with foam and blind drunk
They won\'t ever take me alive
\'Cause they all drive killer cars

Wrap me up in the back of the trunk
Packed with foam and blind drunk
No they won\'t ever take me alive
\'Cause they all drive killer cars
They all drive killer cars
They all drive killer cars

man i\'m infamous for getting crapped on in the car department. i just paid $1900 for a new engine and a month later the timing belt went while on my way home from Thanksgiving $400 later i have my car back. this all after putting like $2000 into it last year..... i could have bought a new car by now, if i had good credit and wasn\'t in debt.

fucking cars indeed.

Chris you should go pick your car up and get it dropped off at the Tire Store on rt. 5. the guys pretty fair and kicks stuff out pretty quickly.
