typically breakfast. they rarely let us fans know these kinds of things and they wonder why they are not bigger than what they are. I have gotten used to it. They are probably taking new yrs off to so they can get off to a good start for 2007.  Lets just consider this there "new yrs" show.  Anyways I hope Jordan does a special guest appearance for this show, that would be killer.

what are you talking about, you barely show up to the shows you say your in for in the first place.  you\'ve gotten used to it?  what is that, seeing the shows announced on .info and not showing up anyways?  i wouldn\'t get too psyched about that guest appearance, it ain\'t happening.  how many times have you seen them w/o jordan anyways?

Rujah - Seth Yacovone Band is at Nectar\'s on New Year\'s Eve. Perhaps Seth will sit in at this show like the April gig there...

so what about club metronome? there is nothing booked there on nye according to their website. id prefer club metronome over nectars. plus nectars is 21+ and club metronome is 18+, so the band would probably rather play upstairs at metronome anyway.

You\'re right I have not been to many shows lately mainly due to transportation problems, which were out of my control but that is no longer a problem.  And yes I have gotten used to The Breakfast waiting to the last minute to annouce tour dates or else announcing individual dates instead of an entire tour at once, which perhaps could entice for diehard fans as well as newbies to actually travel to shows.

I figured the guest appearance by Jordan wouldn\'t happen but still would be pretty sweet if it did.  To be honest I have yet to see them without Jordan but that is not to say I don\'t enjoy the new sound because I do and judging from the live shows I have download they sound tighter and spacier than ever.   I just got the Moxie Epoxy album and have only taken it out of my van so I could be it in my home stereo to listen to it.  With that being said, I can guaruntee I will be at Nectars for this show, I wouldn\'t missed it for the world, especially since I have not seen them without Jordan and feel as though I may be missing out on something.

Awww...is this turning into the bitch-about-NYE thread?  I guess this was inevitable at some point.  There\'s good news and bad news about NYE.  The bad news is that if they play they\'ll be playing at whatever scraps are left for venues after every other act in New England/New York books their gig (which most already have.)  The good news is that they\'re gonna draw 100-200 people no matter where they play, so a small, clean venue will actually be a great show and it\'s those types of places that might still be available..  I\'m not gonna bother to go lookup who\'s playing at Stone Church, but that room or a venue like that would be great.  80 people in cavernous Webster Theater last year was pretty tough, but put that same crowd in a good little music bar or club and it\'s a great show.  But it\'s tough because everyone who makes any music at all wants to work NYE, and it\'s not just bands they\'re competing with for venues.  I\'m a beginner DJ with three gigs to my name, the first on Halloween just 5 weeks ago, and I booked myself a New Year\'s gig today.  If I could do it, they can do it.  Subsequently I kinda hope they don\'t play (sorry guys :P ) so I don\'t have to miss it.    OK not really I hope they do play.  Guess we\'ll just have to wait and see.

TreyChica, I hear ya.  I have seen Gongzilla three times, once as Gong in 1980, which was the best of the three with the late, great Pierre Moerlin on drums. Yes 1980! Excuse me, I\'m fucking old!  Looks like they are travelling sans vibes, but with an additional guitarist.  Chops, yes.  Bon Lozaga (g) and Hansford Rowe (b) are very good players.  But, the last time I saw them it evolved some kind of fucking Fuzak that put me to sleep.  Chops minus songwriting ability and creativity=boring.  THEY better have their A game going on 12/30, or The Breakfast is going rule, which they will anyway.  Wish I could be there for this one, but no way to make it and be back in Chi-Town for the Umphreys NYE show.  I think the pre-game is going to start early for that one.  Curious to see the reviews on this one.
