Hopefully things will start to change w/ tomorrow\'s vote.

Thats kind of true, which is why its important to get other people who you suspect will vote the same as you to get to the polls too!

I know my choices will be easy because I couldn\'t be happier with the current state of foreign and domestic affairs in this country...... .... ... .. .. .

You are entirely correct Holly.
However it is the combined votes of people of similar mind that will make a difference.
So get off your lazy(but fine) ass and VOTE!!!

my fine and lazy ass is working from home tomorrow and having a transmission tune-up (thank god). maybe if it wasn\'t such a goddamn process to deal with an absentee ballot i would cast my vote in virginia-a state where i reaaally won\'t make a difference

anyhoo, have fun voting people. if you\'re making an educated vote and feel passionate about your decision, go for it. otherwise, take those hours your office/place of work grants you and go see a movie (borat).

I\'ll be voting tomorrow (today?),

For all you CT folks, Mr Joe Leiberman needs to go.  I don\'t want to say I basing my vote strictly on that, but this is a man who voted for a bill that has now made it legal to detain a suspect with out charging them, not letting them contact an attorney, and yes ladies and gentlemen torture, we can now legally torture prisoners.

Welcome to the begining of the real big brother.

Please take away all my rights.

It does not matter how you vote, but you should. I don\'t care what party you are or who you vote for. I am always depressed during off-year elections to see I am usually the youngest person there.

I have not and never will agree with the attitude of "I\'ll prove a point by staying home and not voting." This does not prove anything because there is no way to track the reason you stayed home. Further more, the less people that vote, the less people it takes to swing an election. I wish there were multiple parties. Not just 2 or 3, the more the better. I wish we had 100% voter turnout every time. Most years we don\'t break 35% which is an insult to all the generations of people who died for the sole purpose of giving you that right.

Maybe it\'s just me, but I\'m probably the only person here who has read the republic as well. As Plato said, the man upset with his government who is unwilling to step up and do a better job himself has no grounds to complain about anything the goverment does.

I learned a long time ago people will do what they want and you can\'t change peoples attitudes. Still, I will be there hanging out with the senior citizens today.

There is a reason that viagra is available over the counter and marijuana is illegal. Older people vote, younger people don\'t.

Ding, ding, ding!!! We have a winner!!! Why is it that we only have a choice between two pieces of shit??? (Ok, sometimes three) Even in Iraq, they had a choice between many potential people. AND, all of them were pretty much equals. It wasn\'t based on who had more money to brainwash those too dumb to figure it out for themselves.

I\'ll be voting for the first time in my life today... yeah me. i kind of agree with everybody but an uneducated voter is almost as bad as not voting at all. which is what i am but i\'m sick of the facist rule and i want to see a casino and i think the Roger Williams Zoo needs money to build there infrastructure. it more than voting for a politician there are other things on the ballots that need to be vote on. so go out and vote. you\'d all be pissed if they took your right to vote away so use it.

That is such a good point. I\'m not registered in CT, only NH. I guess I dropped the ball this time around, but i will absolutely be voting when the presedential election rolls around. It is hard to get past the meaningless campaign commercials, and actually know what a candidate stands for on issues, so that as Holly said, you can make an educated vote. So i don\'t feel quite as bad not voting since i dont know the CT congressmen/senators and where they stand.(ehnice justification)
