If it is really this early then i see 2 good points. 1) we can all take the train in and out w/o worrying about getting stuck in the city. 2) we could have a Keg party at my place after the show. the train is 2 blocks from my Apt.

this is the kind of attitude I like to hear. the light has been shone in a new direction!

no one can go to the show if no on knows about it, there wasn\'t even a poster in the window.  If you showed up that night there was no way to know the guys were playing unless you were a .info regular..

That sounds pretty rediculous.  Even if most places do nothing else, they at least display their schedule of events.

eff the coda and eff creative entertainment group.  howie schnee actually suggested to the lady that books us at the knit that she not book us anymore because we had a so-so turnout at a shitty timeslot at the lions den like two years ago.

It\'s too bad they have such a tough time garnering a decent crowd in a city with 8 million (and an additional 10+ in the vicinity).  Is the music scene too congested and fragmented in NYC?

Maybe they should try for more opening gigs when major bands play at major venues.

Doesn\'t Creative Management run Lions Den, Knitting Factory, CODA amongst others?

CODA did have "tour cards" that mentioned the Breakfast playing amongst 80 other bands. There were no visible posters. CODA is also located on a scretch where there is no other night life, so unlike some of the other venues, you pick no stragglers up and no is walking by, so who really knows CODA exists behind the scaffolding.

The last CODA experience sucked. If upstate didn\'t already have his lights up, they would have NEVER allowed the lights to be up because it wasn\'t in the contract, they also made the band adhere to the 2 1-hour sets.

From the Knitting Factory site:
Main space, 7:00 PM CEG presents: The Breakfast, Thing One

So, I\'m guessing doors are at 7, opener at 8, Breakfast at around 9:30???

I will be in AZ visiting my parents. Glad to see my folks but sad to miss this show.
