Distribution is currently handled by Selectohits in Memphis. they are a pretty good mid company. Off course, what everyone doesn\'t realize is that just having distro and being available doesn\'t mean much of anything anymore. The distributors sales force has to convince the chains to take in the record without hitting us with tooo ridiculous a marketing charge.
Yes...these days to get into store we sometimes have to PAY because there are way too many CDs out and not enough space for stores to display. Its just SO much fun.
We hope to move to a bigger distributor early next year who might give us more leverage. But that is a work in progress.
Anyway, our Transword rep for Real Radio...had a lot of clout. The current guy isn\'t quite as good, plus as Transworld gets more powerful, they get more dickheaded for small operarions like us.
Transworld is...Strawberries, FYe, Camelot, and several ther chains. They have 2000 or so stores.
Best Buy will NOT have the record at this point because they want a LOT of money, and it doesn\'t guarantee sales.
