i too was very entertained and cant agree more that these boys deserve to have Toads sold out, but the thing is there was no promotion to the people that dont look at the newspaper or read PLAY magazine, which is the high school/ underage kids.

Back when Kroop was around there were flyers all over the place in gas stations, stores and places kids would see them and the next generation would see them and pick em up and probably go.  Its frustrating, but i had a great time and was happy to see everyone. The album is unbelievable but there is no reason that Toads should be that dead for a local band that is that good.

I understand your frustration (I was hoping for a bigger crowd as well), but flyering can\'t be left up to the manager at this point.  Somebody\'s got to make sure that the gigs happen and that stuff like the newspaper articles, PLAY magazine, "Honey Butter" on Sirius Radio, and a plug on WPLR happen.  It may not feel like it to us, but this band is much bigger than when Kroop was in charge.  The grassroots is responsible for the flyering, which was done as far as I have heard.

Don\'t all beat yourself up on the crowd...it was ok.  Not as good as the 1000 Show, but ok.  For one thing the guestlist was huge, but the band wasn\'t bummed.

We had tons of press, and yes, did a lot of flyering...wich Josh actually coordinated.  But a night is a night, and that is what happened on this one.  there waere a lot of shows in town, including a big underage show at the space.

Unfortuneately as the band grows we have a bigger and bigger country to worry about.  The biggest impediment to getting stuff done on this gig was Toad\'s itself.  They seem unable to make decisions and execute simple tasks that in the past would be a given.  It wasn\'t until the middle of the week that we knew who was openning and in what order, and they didn\'t have discount tix, important for the kiddies, until way to later.

And it wasn\'t us...we haunt them every day.  Anyway....wasn\'t too bad and the merch was good.  Our feeling is that we need to kick this up to a higher level in the Northeast in genereal and that New Haven will hopefully follow.

Hice to see all you folks.  Thanks for your dupport and kind comments on the CD.  That\'s where our attention is right now.

show was awesome.  could be the best rufus I\'ve ever heard (best is worcester but i need to hear last nights again).  lights were best i\'ve seen yet.  decent cover selection, but played perfectly.  def. like the new version of the chase and STL was crazy.

got the new cd last night, very good.  glad to hear merch did good last night.  was hoping for a few more people there, it seemed to thin out after setbreak....maybe the band should go on alittle earlier??...just a thought.

good meeting you kate/rickey...hope the trip was worth it.  see everyone at the iron horse!!

i have been looking forward to this show for a while and it def did not disappoint!  it was great to see everyone and i loved all the costumes!  definately had a fucking blast doing this :banshke: :banrock: :banjump:  all night!  halloween should seriously be everyday or atleast once a month.  show was a great time as always- so good to have the band back around these parts, they sounded explosive and straight up rockin!  loved the primus cover, mayfly, stl, and rufus are always a delight.  psygn= hot damn!  that drum solo was pretty nasty too and i agree w/ chef gfunk- they totally needed to play eppy3.

many thanks to todd and robyn for the very warm and cozy hospitality, and holly and melissa for generously sharing that heady bed.
