I hear you Paul....must be nice to have a "holiday" off
(Although, my family "thinks" that I am on "vacation" all the time)

Yea, I get that one too. My favorite is "Why can\'t you do (misc job), you\'re off all afternoon. We all have to work and wont have any time."

Um, I work too, I just go in 5 hours earlier than the rest of you. Why don\'t you just stay up till 11pm and do it?

Ah, life at a 24 hour buisness. Good times.

holidays rarely equal a day off for me
but it does mean a better pay rate

We do get time off at mine also, they call them \'floating hollidays\' and we get 9 of them. Basically, it\'s them saying you have to be here on xmas, but you can take a day off with pay like an extra vacation day and call it xmas at some other point in the year. It\'s cool that they do it, but sometimes you\'d rather be off to be with family on a holiday rather than just an extra vacation day.

But then again, I get paid to watch sports all day. It would probably be a sweat gig if I really cared one way or another about the outcome of the games. Oh well, can\'t win them all.

we call the ad agencies we\'re working with at the time of the holiday.  if most of \'em are closing for said holiday, we close too.

Not even sure if we got MLK day off or not. What sucks the most is since March it has only been me and 2 other people so actually getting to take a vacation ins\'t even an option. So I will more than likely end up at the end of the year with like 10 vacation days unused and they don\'t carry over and we dont get paid out for them either. I do get paid pretty good but still sucks ass
