I just meant that they had awsome ideas floating around in the second set(a little drunk last night and my thought process was out of control;))  The "more people than the Breakfast" thing was not meant to sound bad, I just have a hard time estimating #\'s of people at shows, that was the best example I could think of to give everyone a clear pic on crowd size.  The flame away line was a joke, I figured someone would hate on Phish.

That is the sober explanation of my latenight ramblings.

Oh yeah, and they didn\'t have flyers, i think Todd got those tix to pass out???  I am not sure what happened?  All I know was they didn\'t have what they were supposed to.

Well....as of mid afternoon they had zero tix sold.  So they made it a free show, unless you were an idiot.  Its pretty easy to get some folks to come down when you announce its FREE.

Of course the venue took a huge hit.  If we did something like that there we would never play the room again.

EO was much better than I expected!!! A little weird and boring at times, but most of the time very interesting and funky! A lot of improvised jams set around a theme. Or at least that was my take on it. I would say there were between 150-190 people there.

And...Walsh wouldn\'t know a flyer if it was plastered on his big dome. I went there with 100, there were another 400 at the door and Georgie Gfunk had a bunch. I was hoping that they would have the tickets printed by last night, but they had just started on them. Should be getting them on saturday. I put some flyers around the bar, which most were gone at the end of the night. Gfunk was the leader in passing them out at the door. I would say we got flyers into the pockets of over 60% of the people there. Hey Walsh- I guess it\'s hard to see the flyering work going on when your head is 10 feet in the air and you\'re belly up to the bar. (with a flyer on the bar....RIGHT in front of you!!!) :D
Light travels faster than sound. That is why some people appear bright...until you hear them speak.

EO was fun, i had a good time. they had some cool jams going on. jamie maysfield was ser fishman was ser, keyboard players pretty ser, overall a good band, but the jamming wasn\'t intense just really loose and free flowing.

Hard to say.  It really depends on what it cost the venue.  If it was us.....the next time the club would say..."We\'ll do a door deal".  Of course a door deal is one thing when there are 3 in the band, or when there are 10 in the band.

My guess is they will play the Webster next time they need a date in CT.  But my cystal ball gets foggy at times.

how about that girl on Sax.

Walsh was calling for an all girl jam band.  he figured they could suck and still draw huge crowds.

A club does what it needs to do in order to draw a crowd for a band that has the type of players EO has. It is a band of "all-stars" of the jam scene and having no tix sold may have looked bad on the club in terms of promotion(as in they did none or not enough).

So what did they do? They let people in for free AND implied heavily that this was Fishman\'s "new" project. This is ridiculous. It is Matt Butler\'s project and Jon just happens to be the drummer for many of the band\'s incarnations.
Worrying is like praying for something you don't want.
