Since Lieth is out starting shit I figure why not spin off of it???

This thread may have popped up before in the past and I\'m sorry if I had missed it, but I\'m curious on what the average infoer does to help make a difference in this world. In what ways are you bettering society and the future of the grand scheme instead of simply satisfying yourself for the duration of your life? Cause let’s admit it. Once we’re done there’s a whole other generation that will need to live off of what we’ve left behind.

Personally I promote high school education and mass learning through online training. Outside of work I occupy my time kicking it with local buddies and sketch what\'s on my mind. Probably not the most thrill-driven lifestyle, but it beats the shit out of spending hundreds of dollars burning up fossil fuels and hitting fast food restaurants so I can catch a native show when it can be seen by others living in that town for a whole lot less of a mess.

I’m not saying I’m going to disagree with anyone’s lifestyle, or pretend that I’m righteous by any means. I’m just curious what everyone does in their spare time other then bitching at lieth.
Plant yourself in the minds of others so you may grow in them as you do yourself.

I try to stick to these.  I\'m NOT perfect.  But I try.

The Good Red Roads - Code of Ethics

1. Search for yourself, by yourself. Do not allow others to make your path for you. It is your road, and yours alone. Others may walk it with you, but no one can walk it for you.
2. Treat the guests in your home with much consideration. Serve them the best food, give them the best bed and treat them with espect and honor.
3. Do not take what is not yours. Whether from a person, a community, the wilderness or from a culture. It was not earned nor given. It is not yours. You cannot enjoy what it not yours.
4. Respect all things that are placed upon this Earth.
5. Rise with the sun to pray. Pray alone. Pray often. The Great Spirit will listen, if only you speak.
6. Honor other people’s thoughts, wishes and words. Never interrupt another or mock or mimic them. Allow each person the right to a freedom of opinion. Respect that opinion.
7. Never speak of others in a bad way. The negative energy that you put out into the universe will multiply when it returns to you.
8. All persons make mistakes. No matter how small or how large the mistake is, it can still be forgiven.
9. Bad thoughts cause illness of the spirit, the mind and the body. Keep bad thoughts at bay. Practice optimism.
10. Nature is not FOR us, it is a PART of us. Treat all natural beings as a member of your family.
11. Children are the seeds of our future. Plant love in their hearts and water them with wisdom and life’s lessons. When they are grown, allow them find their own place.
12. Keep yourself balanced. Your Mental self, Spiritual Self, Emotional Self and Physical self all need to be strong, pure and healthy. Work out the body, to strengthen the mind. Grow rich in spirit to cure emotional ails.
13. Make conscious decisions as to who you will be and how you will react. Be responsible for your own actions.
14. Treat the elders as special gems - their wisdom will shine.
15. Be true to yourself first.
Postcount +1.

I really don\'t bring much either. Truth be told I spend much of my time drinking whiskey. I\'m just tired of it now and thought I could play off of others suggestions.

I don\'t really "do" much, but my rules for life are:

To stay positive,
Live every day to the fullest,
Help people when I can,
& Laugh often... (usually @ wah\'s dumbass posts) ;)

Alright. Aside from the whiskey. Here are a few rules I move by:

1. Be truthful. Sarcasm can only go so far before it\'s a lie.
2. Share your knowledge. Life is too short to catch everything on your own.
3. Acknowledge what your given and try not to ask for anything else.
4. Friends will never be forgotten so try not to leave on a bad note.
5. Respect what you see, hear, and feel. These senses are given to use for a reason.
6. Never limit your list... etc.
Plant yourself in the minds of others so you may grow in them as you do yourself.

sometimes i leave a penny in that little "take a penny, leave one" dish at the gas station. of course, 9 out of 10 times i am taking the penny.

i also prefer to help animals before helping people. people don\'t really need that much help (unless they are disabled).

i am pretty much completely against the welfare system in this country. hope not to open a can of worms with that statement, but then again, if you can tell me why helping crackwhores get their foodstamps is worth the money you\'ve got my full attention.

I teach an adult education course on personal finance.  No pay, volunteer, but the people I get in class are funnier than anything you\'ll find on tv.

I also send $25 per month to a starving kid in Ethiopia.  Just 83 cents a day can rid you of the guilt you feel when you see these adds come on tv and you are eating a whole pizza by yourself.
A man who has seen the things I have seen,
experienced the loss and pain I have experienced,
I transcend race, hombre.
