The show HEROES on NBC... holy moly!

so it was announced at Comicon that Kevin Smith will be directing one episode of Heroes: Origins, possibly the first one.

from Kevin Smith\'s blog: Silent Bob Speaks  he also discussed it in his podcast.

Quote from: Kevin Smith
Yes - I’m directing an episode (maybe the first episode) of the “Heroes” spinoff “Heroes: Origins”. It’s gonna be fun, to say the least. Big thanks to Tim Kring and Jeph Loeb for not only inviting me to play in their sandbox, but to pop in on their panel with the news. I’m a huge fan of the show, and now to be a part of it is pretty amazing.

But coming out to that rapturous reception from the audience has officially entered my list of top ten career moments ever.

edit: my apologies, I went a little crazy on this post kinda forgot heoroes existed, and then went on a news finding spree tonight, to those who are interested: enjoy.

FYI:
NBC is doing "cast favorites", with interviews with cast members and such, it should be starting this monday, the ad made it sound like it was to prep for season two.  I kinda figured that was still a long ways off.  Hey, if so, bring it on.

just checked NBC\'s site, season 2 September 24th!!! SWEET!

also, just a reminder DVD on August 28th

possible spoilers:

an answer to my own question as to whether or not the online comics would be published.......yes, yes they will, by DC.  I\'ll give a link as apposed to pasting the whole article.

and holy shit! a list of heroes products set to be realeased.

- Titan Publishing will launch the official Heroes magazine. A bi-monthly publication presented in comic book style, the magazine will "lift the lid on the lives of the stars of the show, from the actors and actresses to the back room special effects experts."
- Topps will release a full line of trading cards featuring the Heroes characters and in-depth episodic coverage. The trading card packs will also include randomly inserted one-of-a-kind rare cards such as autographs, hand-drawn artist sketches, and cards embedded with a piece of actual costume material worn on the show.
- WizKids Inc. will be adding Heroes into their HeroClix line, which already includes characters from the DC, Marvel, and Dark Horse universes.

Season Premiere did what it should and set up the basic elements. Nice way to end it also.
