yeah, i\'d really like that run, if UM wasn\'t playing. i\'m not a big fan (been to two or three shows, listened to several more but they just don\'t grab me - everytime they get a good energy built up, they force a change and it kills everything they\'d just built up) but to think that LL & Taj are opening for them just absolutely blows my mind! sure, neither of those bands could sell out the aragon on nye, but do they really think that the UM audience is one they should gun for????

I feel for any band that has to play after NMAS.

Those guys can really throw it down, They have a TON of stage presence and charisma.

I actually agree.  UM is best when they stick with shorter structured songs and they at at their worst when they try to strech out jams.  Some people might vehemently disagree but from what I\'ve seen UM just can\'t really get an extended jam going - not like the Breakfast, ekoostik hookah, moe, Ancient Harmony, Seapods, or bands like that.  When UM jams it always seems to de-evolve into a space/ feedback jam, and none of the sick guitar/ bass interacting grooves typical of the other bands I mentioned.

NMAS opening for them doesn\'t blow me away that much... But TAJ MAHAL? Wow! I think UM is a very talented band... but this still surprises me.

The fact they can play a 3 night NYE Run and get 3 openers of such quality warps my sense of reality!

UM is good but their management must be incredibly connected to have pulled this off.

I like the fact that UM has and continues to get great acts to open for and open for them.
I will be at the 12/29 show, and can\'t wait for a NMAS/UM combo!!

wow. UM getting blown off their own stage three nights in a row. What a debacle.
