Seems that Sept. 9th in New York City is a bad combo for The Breakfast. Everyone said that last year\'s Lion\'s Den show was also meh.

Somehow I managed to miss both of them.

I am spoiled I can\'t deny it.  I agree with Spacey, this show bored me.  I think there were alot of factors that went into that. I was in Boston the night befor eand was still a little run down from that, the guys were obviously feeling the effects from the night before, and the number one reason.....the venue was fuckin empty.

And shelving Vermont Song??  I\'ve been trying to get this to happen for aeons.

Kost called me about the keyboard gig before it was decided the hang trio for this tour.  Stopped by to keep his hat in the ring and ended up sitting in.

I wouldn\'t make anything of it right now.

Of course, y\'all will anyway....

I don\'t understand how it became that on this thread,

Can\'t a sit in just be a sit in???  He plays keys, there were some on stage he played them.  End O\' story.

just to repeat a couple things that have already been said:

- i recorded this show.

- the band\'s new keyboard player is not very good. terrible decision, imo.

- this show was *extremely* high energy!

- it was great to see such a big crowd in NYC!

- surreal radio is epic.

- best show ever.

That\'s the toughest Breakfast setlist I\'ve ever seen.  Phaddy Boom Baddy, Vermont Song, Language, Bugs, and Dig all in one show?  zzzzzzzzzz.  Not to mention Fairy, Surreal Radio, and Sleeping Beauty which aren\'t usually exactly the barn burners either.  All these songs can be good but they need to be surrunded by other stuff.  They can\'t carry the show.  Even the one A-list song (Tribal Funk Afflcition) had no segue when it is almost always used in a sandwich.  Would it be too much to ask to do the old TFA > Sir Psycho Sexy > TFA?

The equivalent Phish set would be Fikus, Heavy Things, Train Song, Talk, Catapult, Mango Song, The Curtain (for Tribal Funk), Secret Smile, Peaches En Regalia (hehe), Friday

When they hit the funky part I almost expect to hear this sometimes, it works so perfectly
