The band should invest into a compact harddrive or a new iRiver or something and start to record every show from the soundboard.

At this stage in the game no show should not get recorded but it also shouldn\'t be the fans responsiblity to have to tape the show. If he wanted to enjoy the evening as a fan, so be it, but in no way is it his responsibility to get it taped.
Love many, trust few and don\'t be late.

its just a shame that the band isnt recording all of thier shows at this point.  soundboards would be nice.  people would pay.  i for one and truely dissapopinted the rager of a show wasnt taped.

and it was TOTALLY Rufus>Utica Jam>Puppetry.

in fact, the Rufus>Puupetry was so dirty, it made someone i know vomit ;)

i also had an upstate NY taper tell me ahead of time that he would definitely be there recording, and he didn\'t end up going..
that upstate taper was me.  we originally had three of us going to the gig with rigs and unfortunately all three of us had other responsibilities come up that night.

the upstate tapers are all truly sorry this didn\'t get recorded but to be honest it\'s not our RESPONSIBILITY (it is however, our goal) to get every show in the upstate ny area documented by atleast one of us.  if YOU as a fan want a show recorded, invest your time, money and knowledge into the hobby and record the gig.  this is our hobby, not our job and we take great pride in it, but sometimes REAL life takes precedence over "fun."

to be honest, if at this point the band hasn\'t gotten together and hired someone to record to multi-track, then there is noone to blame but themselves when a gig goes into the air and isn\'t caught by song catchers.

you guys should consider yourselves EXTREMELY lucky you have someone as dedicated as dave helping organize shit (and also record) or else you\'d be having 1/4 of the shows taped, not 3/4.

I thought the band was recording all the shows now, but hanging on to the master copies so they could release the gems in the future.

Well it looks like i may have found the new pre amp A/D that i have been waiting for. So I will atleast be back in the game with a full rig probably by in the next few weeks.

Tim no worries it happens to all of us (missing shows unexpectedly) I was supposed to go to Roger Waters tonight in Mass however work had to come first.

no one takes it for granted. but are you saying people cant say they were upset it wasnt taped because how good it was?  no one is saying its all so and so\'s fault or anything.  just that at this point in the bands career all shows should be taped(it shouldnt be on the tapers)

wow, i just read some of these replies. people freak out easily here. everybody wants to hear the next great breakfast show so it is totally fine to be disapointed in the fact that no recording was made. i think everyone knows how much time chris, dave, mike, matt, ect. put into those tapes and appreciate every minute of it. i can not be anymore thankful, without resorting to homoism. so sorry tapers, youll have to deal with my constant praise and thanks.
