the way i see it, you people have 2 options - come see the good time boys tomorrow night, or stay home and get syphilis. personally, i\'d go with A, but that\'s just me..

i\'ve done both.  multiple times, and i gotta agree w/ him.  good time boys over syphillus, unless of course, you can do both in the same night, then by all means.  enjoy.

last time I talked to you about a GTB show, you bad-mouthed them for being a cover band and said you\'d never go to a GTB show.

What changed your mind?

Shit! I had made plans to sit home by myself all night and do nothing.
But I really don\'t want to get syphilis either....

well i have pretty much been brainwashed by so many myspace bulletins into going tonight. i was going to wait at home for syphillis and also hang out with my tooth (my wisdom tooth which is in a cool biohazard bag). i guess i will be there but must ask anyone going to please not make any sudden movements around me as i have been out of it and disoriented ever since my surgery yesterday/the begininning consumption of my painkillers. i just woke up from a 3 hour nap. see you all tonight.

There were originally no effective treatments for syphilis. The most common in use were guaiacum and mercury: the use of mercury gave rise to the saying "A night in the arms of Venus leads to a lifetime on Mercury".  It was administered multiple ways including by mouth and by rubbing it on the skin. One of the more fascinating methods was fumigation, in which the patient was placed in a closed box with his head sticking out. Mercury was placed in the box and a fire was started under the box which caused the mercury to vaporize. It was a gruelling process for the patient and the least effective for delivering mercury to the body.

So I got a box and some old thermometer\'s.  Who\'s got the matches?
