well thats why I suggested updating the first post, so that you can read that for the good info, or go through the whole thing if you want to.

Great idea....but who will decide what ideas, themes or insights make top billing???

i vote yes.  Dave, that means your original lyrics to the Chase, or excuse me, \'Count Funkula\' may eventually surface now!

yeah, sounds like a great idea. and i support the idea that the agreed upon interpretation should be up top. looking forward to this.

meh... not too interested in a "song thread" for EACH song - too many loopholes;  leave it up to the .infoer to grasp the meaning.  What about instrumentals?  Never-played songs?  Seems like a waste of time & energy, DP.

you make a good point here. this is so much of what music is about - each person connecting to a song in his/her own way. but i still like the idea of a song thread so that each person can share his/her thoughts and maybe gain insight or perspective to further his/her understanding.

having said that, i now have an issue with my last post about putting the "agreed upon" interpretation at the top of the thread. first of all, who are we to decide that? and secondly, reading through the thread will offer the train of thought that is so important to understanding (or thinking you understand) the meaning of a song. so i would say if people are genuinely interested in understanding a song, they should read the thread....

I only said no because I think the discussion on the setlist threads speaks for itself. Like Me! said, there\'ll be a whole bunch of threads that will be busy for a while then would probably die down. I like having the lyrics all on one thread, too.
