Songs that might disappear for a little...
« on: July 27, 2006, 02:38:36 pm »
I was talking to a friend today and he made some good points about a few songs that will suffer until the band finds ways to fill the void or reconstruct the songs to match the new breakfast style.

Having only heard 1 show with the new lineup, I don\'t really know if any song is going to suffer that long. I believe that by show 12 and on the boys will have a great understanding of each other and what they feel they are most capable to do.

so my question is what songs do you think will excel best with this lineup and which ones will suffer, if any?
Love many, trust few and don\'t be late.

talking to tim after the indy show, he said the songs they haven\'t worked out w/o jordan yet were TL&TG>OE(which was played last night), the Chase(which can be done), and Mooboo\'s.

If last night\'s soundcheck was any indication, "The Chase" is a few weeks away (give or take depending on how much practice time they have).  Adrian is still a bit shaky on the lyrics (not the notes, the actual words) and the intro is a bit shaky without the organ.

"See the Light" is another one from soundcheck where Adrian is still getting used to the vocal part (Tim sang the lead, but Animal is covering Jordan\'s harmonies).

There is no doubt in my mind that Adrian will get the vocal parts down, and Tim will get the necessary keys parts down.  However, if these (or any) songs are not at least AS good as they were with Jordan, I would say that they are dunzo.

I really want to see/hear Puppetry with this lineup. I\'d really have been digging Puppetry much lately. I would like to hear Tim on the vocals.

whether or not he\'s impressed, i feel its commendable that at least they\'re trying something w/ it.  which outside of the one inverted wheelhouse version has been pretty much true to form 99% of the time.  glad to see the new \'trio\' (yeah i said it, what are you gonna do about it?) trying things differently so early off.  it\'ll only lead to better things in future versions.
