After seven years and 1000 shows, keyboard player Jordan Giangreco is leaving The Breakfast. The band will tour as a trio for the near future....

I don\'t call them "the breakfast trio," but i do sometimes call them "the trio." i don\'t see why thats a problem with you, dave. Calling them "the trio" is really the same thing as calling them "the band." but there already is a band called The Band, so why is calling them "the band" ok, but calling them "the trio" not ok?

But as I said before this whole thing is stupid, the gigs are booked as "The Breakfast" call em whatever you want, they\'re still gonna rock your socks off.

I guess what I"m saying is what\'s the deal if here amongst ourselves we refer to them as Trio or the trio or the breakfast trio?  We all know they are still "The Breakfast"

I guess I really don\'t care much if people use the word trio or not along with the band name.  The issue is not getting me that fired up.  Two things to keep in mind though:

1.  If this were a poll asking "Which name is cornier?" the vote would have to be "The Breakfast Trio."  If this were a poll asking "Which name best streamlines the band\'s brand" the answer is clearly "The Breakfast."

2.  If Tim, Ron, and Adrian are "The Breakfast Trio" then all Timmy shows are actually "The Breakfast Mono."  Mono Tour Fo\' Life! :no:

the thing is though I dont\' think we\'re actually calling them that (atleast I\'m not) more reffering to them, there is NO ARGUMENT they are The Breakfast, anyone who thinks differently is a bafoon.  But I don\'t see the harm in offhandedly refering to them as the trio (or whatever)  We\'re not lobbying for a name change here.

Never said they were not The Breakfast but they are a Trio right now and if they do decide to go at it as just a Trio and do not bring on a key player, you are right I will jump ship.

I am a fan of The Breakfast which to me needs 4 people.

I am not all about Tim playing both Keys and Guitar. It reeks of novelty and no matter what anyone says to me, I feel the less time his fingers have to play guitar strings, the more the band suffers. Plus the vocal element in my mind suffers way to much as a Trio. I will still be interested in the band but to me as a 3 piece thay are not the saviors of Rock and Roll they were.

Leith i think your ignorant, first off how can you post such claims without even hearing what they have to offer and secondly your a bag of douche for dismissing these guys abilities to carry on without Jordan. ya, I\'m gonna miss Jordan\'s soulful beltings but this isn\'t a blues quartet it\'s a freak\'n ROCK band. From what i witnessed at the Corner Pocket (being there first show) and confirmed by 10K Lakes these guys WILL make it bigger and better and you can go tread water with the rest of the rats.

Ignorant? How?  By knowing what I like? You are an idiot who obviously has no clue about life. Life brings changes. Some good and some bad. We take these changes in different ways as humans. The changes made are always done for reasons and reasons need to be lived with. The Breakfast have decided to tour as a trio this CHANGES the dynamics of the band and I have decided to be less interested for the reasons I listed.

You accuse me of dismissing their abilities you are even more of an ass than I thought. If you take a gander @ my posts about Jordan\'s departure you will see I have posted I believe they can make it as a trio and their abiltiy to do so has already been proven w/ GTB and Tomatotron AND to think different is silly.
Though I believe that, it does not mean I will still like what they put out musically as much as I did and that\'s my choice you fuck!

I will always support Tim, Adrian and Ron in whatever they do as I will support any Jordan efforts that I am near enough to. I just am not as into a trio as I am a quartet. No matter how much Tim shreds the keys it still takes away from him playing guitar and that I am just not down with. I fell in love w/ a four piece band and not a trio.
