I heard they were going to cut them into puzzle pieces for mailing. That much more fun when you get them and have to put them together. :duck:

that setlist doesn\'t match the one i made.

mine has a LOT more exclamation points!!!!!!

i don\'t have time to go for a full blown review right now, but overall that was easily the best show i\'ve seen all year! SO MUCH energy, it was like they were trying to shake toad\'s loose from its foundations!! i\'m still down a little hearing in my right ear, but that\'s the gimpy one already, so... the whole car ride back we kept naming songs, then being blown away by them. "And that Drunk Monk.... DAMN!!" "Jesus, that Buquebus!@!@!@!" etc. i will say that the total highlight for me was the psygn>puppetry. the rita jam was actually the only time all night that i stopped moving. however, when viewed as part of the toal arc that ended after puppetry that breakdown is awesome. i just thought it got a little unfocused there for a bit. so, as a stand alone, i wasn\'t blown away, but as part of the whole it made for a Gigantic dynamic shift, so kudos!

it was great seeing everyone we did see and a bummer that we missed everyone else!

and it ended up being a good thing we didn\'t make it out to the after party, as jill\'s mom had to go to the hospital on sunday morning. by last night she\'d had heart surgery to remove fluid from around her enlarged heart. needless to say, we need all the extra energy we could muster yesterday.

anyway, thanks to everyone who made saturday such a phenomenal show!!!

not to much was said about it but a BIG THANKS and HUGE PROPS to those involved with the stage setup. i thought everything looked top notch from the 1000 in the back to the the little things on the front of the stage.... some recognition should be given to those involved with all that.

and some more recognition to Ellis-D for the lighting last night... GREAT SHOW man!!!!!!!

oh and to the band for doing what they do and being so modest about it.

TO MANY THOUSANDS MORE!!!!!!!!!!!! butta butta buttaaaaaa

and i F@CKEN LOVE Psygn

wow, I am shocked by all of the ball busting wise asses around here... lol

listen here you corn nuts, I have been collecting show posters for about 15 years and have amassed a sizeable collection.  you would be shocked at how many times I have ordered a $30 poster only to have it shipped in a sleeve type envelope and arrive all bent to hell.

thanks for the confirmation though!

Notice how everything I just mentioned is directly attributable to the fans.

So much of what made sat such a great night was the turnout though.

My catchphrase for the night "This is what a Breakfast show should be" As Steve and I were opening the curtain at the begining of the 1st set, ans the crowd started absolutely loosing it.  It was fuckin great! I knew right then what the night was gonna be like.  The crowd never stopped and neither did the band, the energy was def being bounced back and forth all night.

Well after spending all of yesterday on the couch in a joyfilled yet exhausted coma, I have now risen with my thoughts a bit more collected and my mind and body a bit more rested......

It had been almost a full year since The Breakfast had played Toad\'s Place.  To be back there for the 1000th show was an honor.  And what a way to honor the legendary Connecticut venue as well as our favorite band\'s monumental achievement.

From the months of promoting, to the amazing posters, to the 1000 frog banner and stage decor, to the special issue of The Breakfast Digest, to the setbreak video retrospective, more people than ever pulled together to create an atmosphere of love and celebration for this band.  And they handed us a performance that expressed their gratitude as well as showed everyone why they are one of the best bands in the live music scene today.

So I would like to extend the warmest of thanks to everyone who, in their free time, put their love for the band and it\'s scene first to make Saturday June 17, 2006 a night that will stand as a testament to this bands longevity, originality, and unparalleled talent.

And to everyone else who put aside whatever plans they may have had to come out and celebrate and dance and show their love for The Breakfast, thank you so much. For without the fans, this band has no reason to forge through all the peaks and valleys that the past 7+ years has thrown at them.

Okay, a lot can be said, but let me emphasize some more points.
BUQUEBUS (jam even better than puppet house jam, which I still dedicate my life to, pretty sure best ever, god damn) the light show-absolutely on point  made the show that much better and added even more energy, and they only played four old school songs but the show was still so rocking, so rocking--show actually surprised me, which i think fits for their 1000.  This should just show us what there is to come.  Somehow I didn\'t here Tim say to stick around for the video during set break, so I left too quick for my friend heads, disappointed that i missed.  Thanks to all for coming and getting down, I know I did ---  oh yeah nice to hear timmy tour songs - rust and fly like an eagle ---

i saw them soundcheck with fly like an eagle at daniel st. one time, just impromtu, having never played it before and i told them i thought they should play that tune.  i\'m glad they did, i think they nailed it.
