all I was saying was in a 45 minute set how many tunes can they play? still unsure how why some people don\'t like a mooboo\'s.attraction combo.

Marcial, Cody played Electric Washboard when he sat in during moe. first set. Pretty cool. I really enjoy the big, black bass player. Too huge for the bass, he puts out huge sound.
Love many, trust few and don\'t be late.

I\'m really surprised there is this much controversy over this date.  Band plays  a class A venue with two bands that that are both ideal tour partners, and bands that have a higher stature, which makes TBs stature a bit better.

Band gets offstage props from both bands.  Hopefully when band plays same town in a couple of weeks the word has spread a bit more.

Whatever the setlist was....I can\'t find a negative here.

exactly. And the band was also getting ONSTAGE props from both bands multiple times throughout the night.

although not a lot of peeps were there for the set (even i only caught the tail end of it; 5pm was tough to make) EVERY SINGLE PERSON i distributed dvds to were REALLY psyched to get them. Not a single person said, "eh, no thanks" when i asked them if they wanted a bfast dvd. at one point, i ran out of disks and the girls who would have been next to get them were so disappointed that i had to promise them i\'d get more and go back to find them (which i did, and they were so psyched).

also, someone was flyering for the upcoming khyber show. it was funny, actually. i was with tim and the guy comes up to us and gives us BOTH flyers. awesome.

so...what i think this illustrates is that these sorts of gigs are not only important for people hearing the breakfast play, but also for creating the BUZZ about the band. and in that regard, i definitely think the show was a success.

and the NMAS and moe both absolutely kicked ass. I\'m off to moe Tues night in Central Park. (See ya there, oldnewbie!)

highlights of this night :
- super duper sound
- hearing moe. and NMA give props to the breakfast
- passing out around 400 DVDs with 1,000th show flyers on them during moe.
- watching moe from the side of the stage 10 feet from the drummer with a sea of people out front, was a surreal time.
- my favorite moe. song, Kyle\'s from side of stage
- Vinnie hanging in our dressing room and talking with adrian all night
- someone smearing brownies all over the windshield and driver side mirror on our van ( who would do that ?
- not really a highlight, but fainting in Jim\'s Steaks in the middle of philly at 1 in the morning after  pounding cheesesteaks and crashing my head into a radiator, then twitching on the floor to wake up to tim and ron over me asking me if i\'m ok with people freaking out.  i didnt know what happened, but had blood gushing down my face and felt pretty awful while all the other people skeetdaddled.  weird weird situation

overall the night was amazing.  my respect for moe. was rekindled due to the amazing performance, and the fact that they really dig the breakfast.  cant\' wait for july 2.  later folks !

1) as for rujah\'s seemingly contradictory comments, doozie has different meanings for people outside our circle.  perhaps he was saying that mooboos>atsd was a great thing.

doo·zy or doo·zie     P   Pronunciation Key  (dz)
n. Slang pl. doo·zies
Something extraordinary or bizarre: “Among the delicious names taken by, or given to, minor political parties in the United States... are these doozies: Quids, Locofocos, Barnburners, Coodies, Hunkies, Bucktails” (Saturday Review).

2) Steffmo, I hear what you\'re saying.  sometimes i feel like a lot of people look for something to bitch about with anything breakfast related.  i think that\'s just the nature of the beast.  i\'m glad you are so patient with us.   there could be a sold out 3 night headlining breakfast run at madison square garden during which they play tribal > scheme > mooboos > scheme > tribal > buquebus > rufus > buquebus > rufus and i\'m sure there would be some sort of controversy surrounding it on the setlist thread.
Postcount +1.

Yo Jim ...

Doesn\'t really bother me at all, the world is made of a few billion opinions.  I was just surprised that in this instance forks would find negative.  I\'m kinda negative on negative...its not very productive.

What i do know is that I feel these gigs will be the bands real acceptance into "The Club"....which is what we have been working on for the past year.   By professionally executing thses things the band gains the confidence of both promoters and management so that when the question comes up as to who to put on critical gigs, the band will have the acceptance.

From there things go straight up.

"this much controversy"????? you got one person who wasn\'t there who didn\'t like the set list and a couple of incoherant posts from a chronically incoherant poster. let\'s not find contoversy where there is none. my post and spacey\'s were honest reviews of a show that we actually attended. nothing more.

i feel things have been steadily moving up for a while now. it was a great feeling to see the guys up there on the big stage and to have props yelled out a bunch of time throughout the night.

and remember critiques and criticisms help to get an objective all around idea rather than praise and complacency all the time. negative comments lead to a reaction to improve and a feeling that you can do more. if everything was always great the guys could go up there and "fart into the microphones and fans would eat it up"
never trouble trouble till trouble troubles you

words spoken from Genc\'s mouth somewhere in the 2nd set when i saw him.  "Dude, Colin.  Tonight i am officially a moe.ron"  couldnt stop laughing after the highfive.  good times.  fun to stand with everyone for a while. esp during the \'Born To Run\' cover.

stevie was DEFINITELY loving moe.

the people that i was with who had never seen or listened to the breakfast before - no one had anything bad to say.

one was actually fairly impressed and commented on how dark they were and how he\'d love to see them inside of a club or something and not at 5pm in the afternoon in the daylight.

and also mentioned that they blew nmas out of the water.

anyways, i think it was a very positive experience overall.  i yelled loud enough to represent about 25 people or so. :)
