Aniiiice!!! I\'m sooooooooo jealous!!! I so wish I could go on a trip!!

Is this near Mt. Marcy? Looks so familiar! I did 4 days near and over Mt. Marcy a few years back. If this is the same wooden walkway, when we got to the end there was a very populated camp area filled with nOObs. When we took the trail north out of there we were in knee deep mud and water!!! Followed by a trail/ brook bed heading up the mountain. Did that trip with 3 women, only 1 of them experienced. Saw the sun on the way up in the truck and didn\'t see it again until we were driving home! Def. my "dampest" backpacking trip ever!! At least we were able to keep our packs and sleeping bags dry. PERFECT conditions for 2 women that have never done it before! Needless to say, they never did it again. :sigh:

Btw- what\'s up with the shelter, sally?!?!?!?!

yeah that\'s avalanche pass, it\'s in the same neck of the woods as marcy.  if you\'re heading south through the pass you\'d be heading towards marcy via feldspar.  we had a pretty wet time the first two days (there are no pictures from theses days, details will be in the journals as soon as i post them).

Yeah, we had NO pictures from our trip. More than half the time you couldn\'t see 4 feet in front of you. Only in the valleys, like the avalanche pass (thanks, I forgot the name and am too lazy to look it up!) could we see fairly far. The trip took about 6 hours longer than my estimate, which would have been pretty close if it wasn\'t so foggy/ rainy.

Did you get some sun/ views?

 Sorry, had my second neck injection yesterday and it made me more of a retard than normal. Looked at the pictures before my first post, forgot about them by the second and then exposed myself as an idiot. What else is new??? ;)
