Things That Really Grind My Gears

i wanted a small, casual affair. jill didn\'t. however, i am thrilled that she recognized that fact and made me only minimally involved in the process. my jobs were - get band, make sure groomsmen went to their tux fittings, tie bows around some honey jars, show up - preferrably soberish.

that said, people who complain about facebook, when they could just as easily not have/delete facebook, is a peeve of mine...

They tell me you did a decent job getting a band...

I readily acknowledge that my Facebook-related rage is all ultimately self-inflicted. In fact, I probably wouldn\'t still have a Facebook account if my job didn\'t plant me in front of a computer all day. But if I can\'t grind my gears in the "Things That Really Grind My Gears" thread, then why do I even have gears?

yup, and i was even soberish for the ceremony!!

and i\'d say that the other reason you have gears is due to the fact that you are secretly a transformer!

Ok, so heres something that I\'ve noticed in the recent 2 weeks or so... but it has happened pretty much throughout life and only now am I realizing how much it really irritates me...

Seems like more often than not lately, everytime I pay for something and get my change the cashiers always put the change on top of the bills and then hand it back to you.  90% of the friggin time (especially when theres alot of change), when they hand the money back to you... they tip it towards you hand and the change landslides down the bills and goes all over the counter.  Then they look at you like its your fault.  Hand me the the change... then hand me the bills.  I don\'t need it all at once... because once it spills all over, its takes me longer to pick it all up anyways!  Anyways, that it what really grinds my gears.
Where to next?

what grinds my gears?

The fact that I\'ve called five different moving companies to help me move ONE piece of furniture tomorrow A.M.

Each one has quoted me over $300 to move this... but, it only cost me $100 to buy!

(lol - if anyone wants to make some quick $ before family jam, PM me!)

notice how she removed all items that might give a prespective clue to the size of this furniture.  if todd was standing next to that armoire you\'d realize it\'s 12 feet tall and probably weighs 900 lbs.  I\'ve been suckered too many times by this move!  You show up only to realize you\'ve been hired to move a crate full of baby elephants.

totally agree Donnie.

now when i work at Steve\'s store... i do it to the folks who are rude. (ie walk in the store on your cellphone, shop and pay while remaining on your cellphone... there\'s no way you won\'t drop 90% of the change i give back to you.

but shhhhhhhhh....don\'t tell my boss.  i can\'t afford to lose that job.

Isn\'t New Haven an illegal immigrant sanctuary city?  Go pick up some stragglers at the day labor stop on the corner and bring \'em home for a few pennies.
