Had to google it. I remember this show:

03/18/90
Hartford Civic Center - Hartford, CT
The next night was an FM broadcast, but wheres the tapes of this one??
-tim griffin,

Grateful Dead 3/18/90

Grateful Dead 3/19/90

Oh yea, and your a bastard because you went. That was still the time when my mom would not let me go to a concert on my own (only in middle school), let alone a gd show. grrrr....

Anyone else ever get this one?
"Why do you need so many tapes of the same band? They can\'t have that many songs, so you\'re just listening to the same stuff over and over again. Why?"

Leith your right.... The only \'Warlocks\' shows were hampton... The HArtford shows were basically \'unannounced\' shows , NOT the Warlocks.... HArtford was unannounced until a week or so before.. There was no mail order. The GD hotline had those dates as \'open\' with no shows even in the middle of the tour. Everyone knew it would be somewhere.. I saw Nassua on this tour and figured I wouldnt see HArtford due to no mail order... My Dad kicked in and took me the first night and gave me a piar for night two...

So. I did some internet research and here is what i was able to discover about Hartford and the Grateful Dead playing as "Formerly the Warlocks"

As mentioned prior in this thread. The Hampton shows were definitely billed as "fromerly the Warlocks" this was October 1989. The Grateful Dead had been banned from Hartford since about 1983 (Kyle said he was at the show and someone jumped off sky walk between the parking garage and the civic center)

Anyway because the hampton shows were billed as such and fairly close to this date rumors abounded that the Grateful Dead would do the same in Hartford CT. What they did do was basically not annouce the shows and tickets were sold with little to no prior knowledge.

Whew! For a moment I was kind of flabbergasted.
I mean I am known among my friends as the person to go to for GD info.
Yeah I am a big fucking geek for the Dead.

As I said if there were another Warlocks show I would have been there.

It is funny because I remember my friend George asking me why they were being billed as "Formerly The Warlocks" I told him it was so only the real heads would be able to witness the return of H>S>F. I really had no idea they were already banned in the nearby area.

Oh and yeah that H>S>F call was only beaten by my calling the complete 2nd set in order of 12/12/93 San Diego Sports Arena @ setbreak.
Worrying is like praying for something you don't want.

I\'ll have to sift through my ticket stubs. I got tickets from my friends dad who did electric work for the civic center. Found out about/ got tickets 5 days before. I think these were the shows that we were 4th or 5th row each night. Pretty sure it was announced on the radio as The Warlocks. But I smoked A LOT of **** back then!! :D
