I\'d have to go with the aura filled digital bliss of Tortoise\'s "It\'s All Around You". I literally could stare at it for hours and hours on end. The best part is the album is double sided with artwork just as potent as the front.

Free me from vices, free me from fear.. Free me from anything that keeps me from here.

wow, thats fantastic.
The crickets and the rust-beetles scuttled among the nettles of the sagethicket. "Vamanos amigos," he whispered, and threw the busted leather flintscraw over the loose weave of the saddlecock. And they rode on in the friscalating dusklight.  --Eli Cash

Somebody had to say it. :D
If trees could scream do you think we would be so cavalier to cut them down? Maybe if they screamed all the time for no good reason.

Probably the worst thing about having King Kong run rampant in your town would be the huge, monster genitalia.

I wish I had a kryptonite cross, because then I could keep Dracula and Superman away.

I predicted that DSOTM and White Album would make it within the first five covers....lo and behold.

^^^  Thank You, Thank You  :bows:

For beatles albums I actually like Sgt. Pepper\'s, I was just being a wise-ass and for the PInk Floyd Albums I like Wish You Were Here better than DSOTM.

For Floyd I\'ll go with Animals. I love The Jungle inspired industrial wasteland. AS for Beatles, this may sound silly but I\'ve always had a penchant for Beatles For Sale. Nothing like four best friends standing in the woods during a cool Autumn day.

Pearl Jam\'s Vitalogy is another great one for me.  Not so much just the cover but all the cover art.  Especially on Vinyl.  I love that freaky book.

THERE IT IS!  Greatest cover ever.

...How ironic that the same band would follow up the greatest cover ever with a ripoff of the immortal Boyz II Men!

The fact that it looks like someone\'s 10th grade graphic design homework makes it tough.  The fact that it\'s the exact same cover as Boyz II Men\'s second album which came out 6 years earlier doesn\'t help either.

Let\'s be fair though: Despite the questionable cover art, albums are first and foremost for the music, and both Deuce and Boyz II Men 2 rock the house!

1st place:

For the full effect, cover the \'body\' of the skull with your finger from the sun glasses down. :P

second place in no paticular order:

"if i listened to the distance on repeat, i\'d be wearing yellow jerseys like a motherfucker" - zuke

in the internet age you can get away with that argument. However, back in the 60\'s and earlier the cover was very important. You could\'nt listen to the album before buying it, so if your in the store with your allowence burning a hole in your pocket, the album cover is going to play a major factor in which one you buy. I\'ve had several people tell me this or similar stories.

on a note, this was from after tim and adrian left the band.

Don\'t even mention the episodes cover though!
