Long live the new england yankee haters! I wouldnt be surprised if all the canadian baseball fans started coming to red sox games and claiming to be fans too now that the expos moved to DC. hahaha.  5 states and a whole nother country for a fan base and you still prove your inferiority with lame insults. hahahhahaha with what a gang of losers. seriously though... looooooosssers.

As someone who was at last night\'s game, I\'d like to congratulate Pedro Martinez on his 200th career victory after a performance in which he wasn\'t dominant, but effective, throwing strikes and escaping early trouble to get stronger as the game progressed. And Delgado\'s moon shot sure helped.

The Braves have won 14 straight NL East titles and a five-game lead in April is hardly safe, but if you\'re an objective baseball observer, you\'d be a fool to not say this division is the METS TO WIN!!!

I know I\'d love for my team to "throw away" money on a pitcher who had a 1.87 ERA last year, which incidentally, led both leagues.

this thread needs to be bumped, not cos I have anything constructive to say, but 12 days between posts on the baseball thread is unheard of. to keep it baseball though:

whats the deal with the met\'s guy getting 50 games? his translator was unable to tell him that drugs are bad in MLB?

also, the greatest rivalry in sports makes its 06 debut tomorrow at Fenway, do you think the fans will give Damon a standing ovation or boo him? Will he get a video montage? And there will be .info representation in attendance Tuesday night in Boston, set your VCRs and tivos kids, I plan on making sportcenter. . .
