Set I: The Overture, The Very Moon, Caterpillar, Save The Robots> Liquid Handcuffs> Save The Robots, Story Of The World

here\'s another one for you bitches that can\'t handle anything that isn\'t the breakfast to bash.  great warm up show for what will probably be a great tour.  so glad to have the biscuits back on full effect in \'06.

Come on Gregg, just because I am not a Bisco fan doesn\'t mean that I "can\'t handle anything that isn\'t Breakfast." Also doesn\'t mean I\'m going to flat out bash them. They\'re good at what they do.

somebodies taking things a little personally, where did i mention your name in there?  i know you got your own thing, color and talea, a whole bunch of jazz, that has nothing to do w/ the breakfast.  no need to defend your stance.

the thing i find funny about the Biscuits is i enjoy them so much live and get bored when i throw them on in my car. to an extreme point too, i consider them one of my favorite live bands b/c even when they space out i feel energy.. i dont know if its the fact that the bass pedal is hardly present on recordings, whatever i dont know, just wandering through my head at the moment. seeing if anyone gets the same feeling.

Bisco peaked in 01 and just sputtered out.  Shows became fashion shows where people tweaked their visors and shared colorful pez like pills with each other. Eventually some people broke the pills, turned them into a fine powder then melted the said powder down in a spoon. The powder turned into a liquid that brought the concert goers into the worldly adventures of Save the Robots, Digital Buddah and the mid-life crisis of a Jewish man, 42........

ill agree that i liked their earlier stuff a lot more.. The Hot Air Balloon is a masterpiece. they definitely used to compose a lot more rather than just fall into repetitive dance grooves that depend on the same scale just building, but hey everyone evolves and i enjoyed their set on friday. their style used to have much more piano driven sections, it was jazzier, and was much more conduscive (sp?) to the outdoors rather than dark venues, i agree. but youll still find hints of what they used to do often which is worth it to me.. wow, sounds like another band that quit in August of \'04.

HA yeah you nailed it on the dot... Bisco had mad potential... too bad they let their addictions fuck up any chance of getting taken seriously...

hey, its not for everyone, but there are plenty of people that eat up that kind of music.  pigeonholing it as drug induced techno is kinda pushing it.  for what its worth, the biscuits are one of the more dynamic jambands out there, and they actually get attention of the general concensus of jamband fans as opposed to some bands(*cough*breakfast*cough*).

that being said, they had their issues in the past few years, but their finally starting to get their shit together and nothing but good things can come of it.

I hope good things come of it, but I wouldnt call what they did the past few years technoish... It was just poop.  I\'m a huge electronic music fan and Bisco were on the cusp of seriously exploring new grounds...instead they farted away into a Lorazepan induced catatonia.....

hope you dont think i was pigeon-holing them. i said i enjoyed their set and i definitely hope they come back soon, i just dig their earlier tunes more. and who knows what kind of music theyll be writing with new blood in the band.
