I wouldn\'t mind seeing them do these:

Radiohead - Paranoid Android
Rage - Ghost of Tom Joad

Not to be an ass, but Ghost of Tom Joad is a Springsteen tune. So - inadvertantly you want to hear the band do a Springsteen tune.  Suddenly I\'m not alone on this one.
The best music is essentially there to provide you something to face the world with - Bruce Springsteen

yea, but the springsteen version is solo acoustic. Nothing against nebraska, but if the band was going to cover it, it\'s the rage version. Tim solo, springsteen.

That\'s like saying anyone who covers hendrixs\' watchtower is covering a dylan song. Yes they are, but it\'s a completely different style and a much harder song to play.

I see your point, but the band has covered Needle and the Damage done and that\'s pretty much a solo acoustic tune.  If they were able to pull that off, then I think Bruce\'s version of GOTJ better suits the band.  I don\'t see anyone in the band being able to pull off the vocal range of Rage, unless they brought in a guest vocalist as has been done in the past when covering Rage.

In my honest opinion, I think the band should stick to their tunes, but if they take on any new covers, they shouldn\'t be songs that rely on vocals as a key part of the song - I use JUMP as my example.  It was a good song in it\'s time, but the vocals sound hokey when the band plays it.:duck:

jam>inverted harry hood*>overexposure

*ends with "where doooo youuuuu (gooo)", but instead of saying go, they jump right into OE.  Harry hood would start with instrumental part right after this section.

i know people probably dont want to hear about phish covers in this thread, but i dont really care, this would be amazing.

Pretty Woman by Roy Orbison.  They could prob shred it live, but acoustic I think would sound best.
