no, it\'s a 24/7 jam channel....really good stuff..i think channel 16 or 17.  they were labeled PB also

what does a sirus satelite radio run for these days. I know its like 12/month but whats the damage on the retail of the actual radio?

i heard you can pay like $300 and get lifetime service. thats what my friend told me a couple years ago when he got it. im not sure if they still have that deal, but if they do im going to get it sooner or later.

BUT

that is for the lifetiome of the UNIT

if it breaks or is stolen or anything and you replace it

you have to pay a $75 charge to transfer the \'lifetime\' account tothe new unit

that can add up - i have yet to determine how long the units last... they sure get VERY warm

thats not so bad. assuming the service is $10 a month and you replace your unit about every 30 months to upgrade for new technology you would break even in the beginning, but after that you would be saving money.
