but could a couple of you refrain from putting up posts pimping the Breakfast on the PT moe. board.  Not that there\'s anything wrong w/ it, but I got it coverred.  I guess its not that big a deal, but generally the people over there don\'t give a shit what most people have to say unless they recognize their name.  For instance, right now there is a post from someone by the name of Sequia(wonder who that is) talking bout the VT show, and I posted one two days earlier on the same subject, and there\'s one from fitzy pimpin\' the GDradio show, which i do every Thursday.  Either way, most people on there can be real bitches, and well I know how to deal w/ them.

you\'d be surprised, sometimes there can be some intellectual conversations on there.  you just gotta watch your step, and not piss off the whiners.  fact is, i was gonna come home from work today and toss up a thread in anticipation for the show at the Middle East on Friday, but well, now the board is already had its share of Breakfast threads for the day, so now I have to wait a bit, so as not to overrun the place w/ Breakfast content.  I know it sounds foolish, but I know how the place works, and I\'ve had that place coverred for a good while now, so let me do my thing, I got a system.

Understand completely what you are saying. I, myself, have never ventured into PT to post. It seems that all I ever hear about PT is bitchin/whinin, not like there is anything wrong with that.

It doesn\'t sound foolish that a moe. message board can get its fill of "Breakfast related threads". Fluff it when you can. I know that we wouldn\'t like for another band to come into here and fluff there shows.

yeah, especially when I post Breakfast threads a few times a week, people tend to get \'oh no, not again\' on me, but generally i get the benefit of the doubt, since I post more moe. related threads as anybody else on there.

but for instance, there\'s this one tealeafgreen fan that hops on there and posts shit for them every once in a while and the people totally give him shit every time since all he ever posts are tea leaf green threads.  its all stupid really, but nothing you can do about it.

i appreciate your (pimpin)efforts but,if i look on the board and dont see
anything, i feel the need to get out the information.let them bitch all they
want,but if the info is on the front board,people will see it and maybe get
their wheels turning a bit.the show at nectars w/raq sit ins is something that
needs to be heard about.maybe someone could write a little something about the show to jambase,the more hype the better...

i dont see the harm in pimpin the band on PT. there are a bunch of threads all over every PT board that have nothing to do with music at all and get replies (positive or negative) from the whiners and bitchers to the intellegent alike. we dont have to leave it all to you. let them bitch. the people who bitch arent the only ones who are on PT. for every 3 bitchers there is always at least 1 person who is interested. after all, its about the music. theyre in the same genre of music, so why not? on a side note, the breakfast has had some love on the Bisco board and the positive responses outweighed the negative.
all in all, it doesnt have to be a covert operation for us to want to get the Breakfast exposed to people who share similar tastes in music.

 I know when I pimp TLG or The Bfast I expect one or 2 responses but that is because I post so infrequently there and if you or Duane don\'t post in my thread everyone just passes it by. which is fine, even my moe or wsp (on their PT board) posts get little attention so I understand the "community" aspect.
That being said, UM and other bands get constant run all over the PT boards so why not The Breakfast?

i\'m not saying there\'s any harm in it.  i\'m just saying i got that place on lockdown.  there\'s nothing anyone can post about the breakfast on that particular board that i either haven\'t already or are planning to do fairly soon.  just making note of it.  i could even go through the .info members list and pull out all the names that i have personally made sure got to their first breakfast show, came here, joined, etc., etc.

there is a point of oversaturation where some people get so sick of seeing the same band get pimped over and over, they automatically get negative about said band w/o hearing a single note of their music.  stupid, i know.  but even ask freddie about the people on the pheesh board.  some of them just automatically turn down all things breakfast due to overpimping.  if that makes sense.
