Almost every show I saw this year was a musical triumph so I am not even going to split hairs! There is nothing I could even say that would do any of the shows I saw this year justice! Just listen to the tapes and go see them every chance you can! Big Thanks and Love to all the bfam, It’s been an amazing year!

1. 6.10
2. 2nd Night PH
3. Capt. Nick\'s, Block Island!!!

Too bad no one ever gets to hear that again, but in a way it kinda fits that whole trip...I know I hear it sometimes on the wind.

While 6/10/05 was astounding and 4/9/05 was awe-inspiring, 8/20/05 was simply transcendent. Opening the show by leaping right into the previous night\'s abbreviated final song and truly maintaining the energy of a fourth set throughout to the sing along and triumphant second set to the absolutely stunning maturity of the final set was a monumental turning point for the band. Throughout the rest of the year they maintained the depth and tightness from that night, invigorating every performance since.

August 20 at the Puppethouse was by far my favorite show of 2005.  The completion of "Gladys Pimp" from the night before was the only way that the show could have opened.  Anticipation seemed to overshadow the tight first set, but the payoff was great as the second set "Sgt. Pepper\'s" provided pure magic.  Never before or since have I expected an encore after the second of three sets.  Instead of an encore, we got the best set in the history of the Breakfast, featuring the best jam of the year, and probably ever, in the form of an incendiary Buquebus.

For me right now, i would have to say that 3/12/05, 12/09/05, and 9/15/05* get the nod as my top three....in that order....

*and missed a whole set of show......

its definitely hard to pick the top 3....but....

3/12/05 makes the top of my list for a few reasons....  March 05 signified the release of Real Radio which contained some new songs tracks and a "never before heard tune", Fresh Cut.....The Fresh Cut from the Call was better than the Toads debut just a week before.....The first set captivated the crowd which was extremely heady and a decient size for a snowy night in Rhode Island, and the second set came out and and threw us around the room for the rest of the night....The Rufus>HardLuck>Mayfly sandwich with a slice of Language on the side....forget about it.....I actually jumped onto the stage during this one...my top breakfast show of 2005

12/09/05 just beats out my next choice for second place.  The band was on fire from when I walked into my first breakfast birthday show, and the fire just grew as the grand scheme of things was revealed in some of the tightest and ser fucking rocking i have ever seen by the breakfast.

9/15/05 was an amazing show and night and I didnt even get there until the end of the first set.  but walking into the wheelhouse and hearing the greatbig>noquarter, I knew we were in for something out of the ordinary and it was proven, and then some, buy the inverted scheme sandwich that contained memory of a free festival, the vermont song, and a most insane see the light....the night ended in the morning on wormjuice and floating in narragansett bay....

the first beardslee castle show should be on top. i\'m gonna have to listen to  6-10 again. it looks the best on paper. the hard luck harry at beardslee has my vote for the most intense song of the year.listen to it. second would be the spunk during 2-4-05. shit that rocked. 3-12-05 was a sick show also. until i hear the latest two vermont shows its a toss up. first beardslee rules.

since i missed 8-20 (fuck my band for booking shows...) and all the other really epic shows, i\'ve gotta go with 4-9.  simply the most fun i\'ve had in a while.

righty-o gabo.  3/12 at the call was some legendary \'05 shite.  ser space oddity in set 1, and set 2 just scorches start to finish.  still a favorite of mine.

and am I alone in considering \'05 to be the pinaccle year in breakfast fandom so far?  everything was just flowing from all directions.  great timmy tour year as well.
