BTW has anyone else found that when they go "get new" the cookie seems to have reset? I got 96 new threads going back 10 days!!
yes, I had the same thing happen to me at work. The threads not viewed were well over 1000.
new feature. just found it today. it\'s actually better, once you get over the initial \'shitloads of unread stuff\'... check it:
previously, \'unread\' posts were stored in cookies. so if you logged in on one computer, read a bunch of posts, then immediately logged in on another computer, they\'d still be unread. likewise if you logged in, but didn\'t read your unread posts, after an hour they would automacially be \'read\' because of inactivity.
unread posts are now stored on the database side, so it knows exactly how many posts are new to your username. so now you can come to .info, and not be forced to read all the new posts, and they\'ll still be \'new\' the next time you visit. hope that makes sense...
