I picked up a copy on sun, I def dig it. I like the boss battles, like playing with someone else without someone else.

This may have already been covered but the art looks like the Guerrillas, any affiliation?

I know this has probably been asked in this form before and if it has, just redirect me to the reply, but how good is the band at playing the songs they cover that are in guitar hero?

also, is there an API for this that we can program breakfast songs in with?

it varies from song to song. some are GREAT, others are awful. Guitar Hero III has a lot more "master tracks" (original versions) and less covers than the previous games.

totally possible. just go to youtube and search for "guitar hero custom" to see a bunch of the custom songs out there.

they\'re all based on Guitar Hero II for PlayStation2. you need a modded PS2 to be able to play games burned to DVD-Rs. basically, you rip the original GH2 disc to the computer, and there are programs where you can replace the music and note charts for the existing songs with new songs. there\'s another program to actually create the note charts. that\'s the hard (time consuming) part. if you make a shitty note chart, you might as well not even bother doing it, but if you take your time and pay attention to detail, it can be great.

check out the Software Forum and Custom Songs Forum over at scorehero. there are TONS of custom songs out there.

By "the band" I meant the Breakfast; ie how good are the breakfast at playing songs in guitar hero that they (the breafakst) cover?

yep, they\'re going the Rock Band route.

i really hope the RB instruments are compatible, because i will not be thrilled about buying more fake instruments.

Ted Nugent, The Eagles, Sublime, Van Halen, and Linkin Park already announced..

These games are 100000% cash-cows. They are so easy to make, the only real expense is buying licenses for the songs.

[Edit]
That being said, they are very good social games.

It\'s alot easier to get a mixed group of friends to play guitar hero/rock star than ghost recon, assassin\'s creed, gta, etc...

Hopefully this new one will get my friends more into the game... they all HATE guitar hero because boring to watch someone else play. Haven\'t tried rock band with a group yet though, so this new guitar hero would prob be more fun for them.

It\'s just because they all suck... gotta be the REAL reason they hate it. I love the shit and don\'t even play my real guitar as much anymore.
i think it\'s turning back on me / i\'m down on the upside

So that means they don\'t play alot of really good (but non multi-player) games...
